You purchase a Codex of Light and a Greenery Horizons.

Ser Spicious seems very pleased! "Staying informed of current events is crucial if you are to become a citizen. And it goes without saying that everyone should have a Codex handy!" He pulls out a book that's as opulent as it is well worn. "Allow me to help you read that. Up here, on the top right, is today's date. It's based on the rotation of the Order World, and the number of revolutions since its creation. Now, here you can see the title, which..."

His voice trails off into a numb static as your eyes furiously track the symbols on the paper, feeding you raw data that allows your mind to ADAPT. You teach yourself to read before Ser Spicious can finish the first paragraph.



The main story centers around a conflict between two groups of people. One respects Circles as the ultimate form of Order, while the other believes Ovals are more suitable. You are unsure why this is a conflict. Ser Spicious comments that Ser Cumference is the leader of the Circle Movement, and Ser Tain leads the Oval sect.

There is also an ad in the paper for 'warriors of light and order' to hunt down and destroy chaos beings who lurk in the Greenery. It says to seek out Ser Lee. Ser Spicious comments that he is very dedicated to his role as protector of order.

Other articles include results of competitive events, opinion pieces ('citizen babble,' as Ser Spicious puts it), and news regarding upcoming holidays.

Conflict sounds chaotic. We should help make circle and oval less conflict-y.

Ser Spicious directs you to a few places in town you might want to visit before continuing onto bigger fish. "The Temple of Light is wonderful, as they all are! There is no Temple of Order, unfortunately. Only in the larger towns. There are the districts of Home and Goods: where people live and shop. Nettle has a clinic here for the sickly. There is also... a tavern. I do not go there often, for it is a place of gamblers and drinkers. But it is an experience all the same."
