INNER OPUS
Only a few seconds pass, but it seems like so much longer. You give a rousing, overwhelmingly powerful speech, yet say nothing at the same time. The words track through your mind, and seem to pierce the Quisit's mind directly, through her eyes locked with yours. Something new... In her face, debilitating defeat, fear, doubt. All in a few seconds, these feelings pass between the two of you. You see a small girl worshiping on a happy afternoon; a terror slicing through innocents; a fire within her heart; then, a debilitating blow to a young woman's face.
The last image, the one of the young woman's eye being gouged by a ferocious creature of darkness, is eerily reminiscent of what happens next, as your opus fades. The Stranger, moving with extreme speed, bludgeons the stunned Quisit squarely on the head. She falls, defeated.
"Neat trick, bloops," the stranger says. "But you can leave the really dirty work to me." His sing-song tone persists as blood drips from his weapon.
The Stranger lifts his weapon over the incapacitated Quisit, intent on executing a coup de grâce. Ser Spicious is unconscious.
