I used to play Wonderland Online for its afk grinding capability and being able to open multiple clients to make yourself a party. The game would run itself in the background while I did misc. tasks and occasionally switched on to retreat back to my tent and try to figure out how to decorate it.

Just about any number of idle games. Once you get set up you can just let them run in the background while all your resources start ticking up, then you return to spend them before letting it idle some more.

Idle Civilization is a decent one, but there's plenty of others out there.

Clicker Heroes is better in that regard than Cookie Clicker, because to play optimum in Cookie Clicker you have to check every two minutes OR else, while you can get away with 5 or more with Clicker Heroes for the most part.

I pretty much always have Boxcar2D running, it's a evolution game.

Boxcar2d isn't a game, but it is awesome.

If you want to do mobile (even though an android emulator), Superior Tactics RTS can work like this. There's heaps of grind to get a full fifty ship fleet after the end of the PvE missions, you won't be competitive in asynchronous-AI PvP until you have it, so press skirmish and let stuff blow up.

You can still make "strategic decisions", but it's like 1-3 presses per mission/battle (once you become OP vs skirmish). You can just let it run if you want though (that's what PvP is doing against you).

Oddly satisfying. It has so many things to be a great game, but it's mostly just a great screensaver. Watch stuff exploderize.

Yes most people miss out on it, done with Unreal 4 it looks amazing. Also some of the hidden mounts you can find are pretty amazing.

GTA V. You'll be afk'ing and alt tabbing so much during the load screens that you'll only play the actual game for a few minutes per hour!
