Blacksmiths not using Fuel
« on: February 26, 2016, 09:29:28 pm »

Ok so here is my issue that I have been trouble shooting. My forges are not using the HUNDREDS of bars of both coke and Charcoal to make weapons and armour.

And I am totally stumped why this is happening because it just suddenly stopped work in the middle of near constant production...

I even have the stockpiles holding the fuel sources linked to the forges...

Did you also link the stockpile containing your metal bars to your forge?  If a stockpile is linked to a workshop, the workshop will only take from that stockpile and nowhere else, and no other workshop will take things from that stockpile, unless they are also connected.

It's also possible that the bars were being hauled somewhere at the time, but that doesn't sound like it was the case.

Have you assigned your dwarf to a burrow that doesn't include both of these stockpiles and the forge?

FUUUUU...NNNN!

Nope, I only had my bars stockpile connected... that explains the issue since that was the most recent change I made!

Yep, that was my Problem!

I'm rather new, and glad that I was able to help.  I once had a similar situation when I assigned dye producing plants to a quern, but no bags.
