Hrmm... Perhaps the more truthful answer is that we have no idea what that sword is in the slightest. Looks kind of tacky really. The blade looks wicked, but the whole bird wings, steer head, and roots design is really just very, very confusing. Those roots look like they would interfere with a proper swing as well. For shame blacksmith. For shame.

Upon closer inspection of the sword, you notice a small detail...



Er... The entire handle was actually sculpted out of some guy with huge muscles. What an obscure sword!

It hovered above the Kobold and adventurer with a beautiful, glistening beam of light. Seems important.
