Floor 409 contains a nucleosynthesis device to upconvert lead to thorium for the floor below. The lead is supplied by archaic diesel-engined airships (hydrogen-filled, painted with a phosphor/radium coating for safer night operations) that dock with the floor. Helium for use in the synthesis is supplied in lead balloons. The energy needed to accomplish this feat comes entirely from the floor above.

This floor has a mariachi jazz band of octopods. They run a bar, together with octopod girl Snally, and many octopods regularily come here to celebrate. There is peanuts on the tables and lots of different beers.

Floor 418 has peanuts in trays and beer in glasses, but doesn't seem to attract so many of the hip "just pour it all over the tables" octopod crowd.

Floor 419: 15 drunkard goblins live here. They often take booze from the floor below and the floor above. They also take children from floor 421.
