A cryptic grey stone monument with writings of a thousand unknown dead languages carved all over it. It constantly produces sounds that can only be described as undescribable.

Rows of desks with linguists seated at them, the linguists are struggling unsuccessfully to translate the sounds from the floor below, which are transmitted to them through hundreds of microphones hidden in that floor's ceiling tiles.

A sign with a mouth proclaims that another base is the pole the sign is placed on, or maybe the floor. It asks future floor builders if they want to mess with the base system, making future floors written in base 11 or higher with a base 10 translation, like it would go 8…9…a…a…a0…a1 etc. it excitedly states that bases are cool

Filled with dirt to within 2 feet of the ceiling. The dirt is filled with ant colonies. There is one person crawling on the surface, tasked to count all the ants. The person feels as if they have been cast into hell, especially when counting the red ants, which bite.
