I've tried many dating sites. And no one ever seems to want to talk, despite my rather kind demeanor

All I want to do is talk, and perhaps maybe, someday, become a boyfriend to someone no one ever wants to talk back though...

Does anyone on here know a place that's video gamer friendly?

What place are you exactly looking for? IRL? Where do you live? Nobody really likes "Kind" people; people like it when people have passion and fire in their eyes, brimming with confidence. Are you confident of your abilities?

If you make being a boyfriend an end goal, remember attentive people can see it from a mile, and depending on their disposition they may not want to hook up. Of course, this is arbitrarily determined by cultures.

Thanks for the info, man, I'll take it to heart. And the thing is that I don't really live in an area that has a lot of community... And I also don't have a drivers license, so that's totally out of the book, so forums would probably be the right way to go.

Also, I'm not actively trying to become someone's boyfriend, I mostly just want to talk and see where it goes.

If you're not averse to online relationships, you can probably try dating over some MMORPG or something of the like. I've encountered a few who've developed relationships over the net.

While I may have an open mind about it, remember it tends to be very difficult in practice to maintain. Distance really matters; good luck if you're dating someone from Malaysia or Singapore, while you're in the Americas, for one.

That and since your shared interests are in that particular MMORPG or something, you may get other people in your romantic crossfire for needless jealousy (but understandable in that it's actually really, really hard to maintain a close contact when you've just only met over the net).

It tends to be futile most of the time, but props to you if you can get a mature relationship working.

Where to meet a girl that will actually talk to me?

Find a hobby that you enjoy. Ideally, something that you would enjoy doing anyway even if there weren't girls involved. Then attend local events related to that hobby.

Juggling, language learning, martial arts, my little pony, whatever. It tends to be much easier to meet and talk to people when there is no "dating" context involved.

There might still be a chess or tennis club or something at your local college. Or, worst case, weekend morning church services are potentially suitable places to meet women. They do however tend to be religious and expect you to be same. That might or might not be a deal breaker.

I used to go to church, I never liked the guys there though, but some of the girls were rumored to be a bit slutty so the church idea could work. Just go for the free food and blood of armok jebuz
