"Good enough."
Wait for nightfall, and sneak in the east door while Achilles goes in the west.

It is nightfall.

"I suggest scouting the area first. Maybe we could peek in through the windows."

Requests:
1.What bonuses does the M14's default scope provide?  Basically, I'm asking what the M14's stats are without any scope, so I can know what it's stats are with a different scope.
2.Can we equip multiple optics on one weapon, like this?
3.What is the price for 100rnd Beta-C magazines for M4s?
4.Are said magazines reliable in this game?  Or do you actually roll for feed failures?
5.Can you rethink the price on the P90?  You gave it a price of $4000, but the PS90 (civilian variant) generally goes for less than $2000, and has, if anything, a higher manufacturing price than the P90.
6.Can you provide the P90's range stats?  It's accurate to 200m, and you said the UMP has poor stats because it's inaccurate past 100m.
7.Can you provide a price for the FN FiveseveN?  Average price seems to be $1500 on the civilian market.

Most Important:
8.Can you please start showing the rolls when you do a turn?  And explain what each roll is for, and how it's modified?  I know it's slightly more work, but it would help us all understand the system more.  Right now we're just guessing, and making assumptions, which is very bad.

I agree with this, at least until we get used to how you do things.

((syv, stop cheating, you know you have to beat the game first to get infinite ammo. :P))

((That means you're wrong and it is funny. The punchline may be a bit dumb, but that timing is perfect.))

The M14's stats are with the default scope. Scopes don't turn you into super-shooters...

2.Can we equip multiple optics on one weapon, like this?

Yar, you can. They don't stack though. One at a time.

3.What is the price for 100rnd Beta-C magazines for M4s?

Google says they should be 200 bucks each. They do seem to have a horrible test record for reliability though.

4.Are said magazines reliable in this game?  Or do you actually roll for feed failures?
Your weapon shouldn't jam unless you roll 1s and shoot yourself in the foot. Jamming doesn't make that good gameplay. Friendly fire is more fun.
Theoratically, full auto-fire should have mo problems than semi-auto.

5.Can you rethink the price on the P90?  You gave it a price of $4000, but the PS90 (civilian variant) generally goes for less than $2000, and has, if anything, a higher manufacturing price than the P90.
3000 + a 2000 sopmod kit.

6.Can you provide the P90's range stats?  It's accurate to 200m, and you said the UMP has poor stats because it's inaccurate past 100m.

Let's say: Range: Melee:0 Short:+1  Medium:-1 Long:Na  Extreme:Na

7.Can you provide a price for the FN FiveseveN?  Average price seems to be $1500 on the civilian market.

Yeah I was thinking $1500 too.

Arbitrary. I'm still deciding to be honest. Shooting by turns makes for gamey gameplay. Shooting all at once makes for clusterfucks. We roll once to see if you hit. We roll again to see if the target dodges OR takes cover. Then we roll for the extent of the damage, or for over-penetration.

Quietly enter east door.

You Quietly enter the east door while Achilles hangs around by the West side, quietly entering from that door as well.

About 4 people are in the living room are watching tele. They look up at you. Then someone whispers "intruder!" and people start reaching for guns.

You throw grenade [4+2]

Someone dives at it, picks it up, and throws it back. [5]

You dive out the door. [2+2]

Grenade goes boom by the doorway.

Everyone wakes up. Shotgun blasts start coming through the door opening.

Shoot SAW through the wall in their general direction.

You spray the wall with armor-piercing 5.56 Nato...

We roll 30 dice. You need 5s to hit. You get 6 hits. No reason why skill or optics would come into play... unless you had sonar goggles or x-ray vision

On which targets? We roll 6 integers from 1-4.

3, 2, 2, 3, 1, 2

Which body parts? 1-legs 2-arms 3-5: lower and upper torso 6 - head. coin flip for L/R sides for 1s and 2s. 1-left 2- right

3, 6, 5, 5, 1-2, 1-1

Tango-1 is hit in the right leg.
Tango-2 is hit in the Head, chest and left leg.
Tango-3 is hit in the stomach and chest.
Tango-4 is unscathed.

Let's say they all fire simultaneously through the wall as well. 5s to hit.
2, 1, 1, 4
Nope, no cheese.

Achilles takes holds his position on the other door to catch anyone escaping that way.

What about putting numbers to everything and/or using hitpoint-damage systems?

Things I wana do:

1. Quantify how many shots happen when someone shoots semi-auto at various ranges.

2. How many shots exactly is "suppressive fire"? How well aimed are those shots?

3. If a combatant receives non-critical shots, how does that affect its effectiveness?

4. Maybe we can use Talvi's system of engaging multiple targets - roll x dice for x targets pick the lowest

5. Hitpoints!? It would only apply for non-critical hits. - If you're brain or spine is destroyed, you're dead. But military medicine would state that most people can take serious damage, even rifle-bullet damage and keep fighting. Even mortal wounds, like the destruction of the heart, can still allow someone to run on adrenaline long enough to run up to the enemy and shank him.
200 joules is the prescribed minimum energy for a bullet to destroy a critical human organ.
Lets say our 5.56 Nato is modern M855/856 with an energy of 1976 joules. How many non-crits can a man take without stopping?
Rule of thumb for energy loss is 1/2 per 300-500 meters depending on drag.

If 1 wound/hp is 1000 joules. Suggested human hitpoints is around 10+
