Even with disgust and horror in their eyes, the humans refused to scream much more as they see their fellow comrade consumed and turned into such monstrosity.

The woman who had to be piled upon to be subdued stared back at S.A.P right in the eyes, growling. "Do your worst, monster. Our souls are pure and incorruptible, we fought well and will die a warrior's death. The God Führer protects."

"He cannot protect what he cannot perceive."

Isolation is the worst form of torture.  Let's try it on them.  Like I said.

You isolate them in their tiny little world, you cruel monster.

S.A.P ignored her whining. He had work to do. A stretched neck, talons. Increased healing. Increased anger and aggression. His minor prototype was nearly complete. It was nearly- and then it shrunk. Quickly. There was a small, thunderous clap, as the creature collapsed in on itself. A round, superheated ball was all that was left. No. Not a ball. Something else. Something that reviewed it's shape only as it cooled.

The Pilot and their cargo handlers paused when they saw that the entire camp is covered in eldritch runes coated in blood. And rotting monkey corpses everywhere..

They decide that they didn't get paid enough for this..

Lazanarius leaves the torture area, deciding to leave it to his more capable comrades. He decides to examine the strange sticks that the humans were carrying

Yes.  We are trying to break them to our side.  If we were in a better position, this really wouldn't be necessary, but fanaticism is hard to deal with.

You are uncertain of what to make of it, but you're pretty sure that they are weapons of sort.

Speaking of, looking at it closely now, it does seems to have resemblances to 'Firearms' as your stolen dwarven knowledges tells you.

Though it looks far less pretty as dwarven-made ones.

((Pssst. Zomara. You should be explaining what specifically stuff you make does. Otherwise VK (and Rift) have no clue what to do with em.))

Lazanarius is to fiddle with the Possible-Notdwarf Firearms. Keep the side with the hole in it pointed away from body. Look for a button or trigger object.

"Master, perhaps you should go ahead and consume one of the humans so we can absorb their knowledge. They might know something that could be of benefit."

While awaiting his answer, Lazanarius tries to operate this "firearm", aiming at a tree

Might as well do that. Consume the feisty female one. Capabilities displayed means potential of having a more 'valuable' soul.

It looks easy enough. You point the hole thing at an underground tree, found a trigger and tried tugging it.

It barks a single crack and the tree have a nasty, ripping hole in it now. Neat.

You execute the feisty female human and try to consume her soul, only to find that it is practically to eat her soul as it feel like it's being pulled away somewhere else, you tried grasping at the bright, delicious-looking soul but it was like liquid and eventually slipped away somewhere.

Strange, the other humans that died did not have such escaping abilities. Maybe she was right and that someone already took dibs on her soul? such a waste though.

You could still feel the path it took and could probably follow it back to more of them this way if you wanted.

Make a spying peephole to identify the output of the path.

Make a spying peephole to identify the output of the path.

It went through to another dimension, but thanks to it having shown you the path, you easily punch a small hole through the fabric of time, space and reality to get a quick look.

Spoiler: Peep (click to show/hide)

Yeah, okay. That's the biggest city you've ever seen. Even comparing it with the Dwarven capital mountainholm. Or maybe the Dwarves got a bigger city since they build down? Regardless, it looks jam-packed with humans, noises came through. All sort of noises, human speech at impossible volumn going through the air, the growls and roars of things that are not natural, things that are not meant to be.

The Mizz suggests eating the Souls of the Humans who died in the initial combat.
