Artifact mod

I am working on a mod, that will have various magical weapons and armor that will only be created in mods. will definitely use DFhack. will have at least gauntlets of power, and amulets of regeneration

hey, sry for necroing, but this looks cool - have you created any such artifacts? I'd like to maybe use them in my mod.

The problem with an amulet of regeneration is that DF doesn't use the traditional hit point system. So, implementing this would be rather difficult.

Oh, I forgot about this. What happened was, I created the thread before actually making the mod, then got sidetracked by other things. I haven't actually succeeded in making a working magic item yet(well, the dragon axe did work, but the speed boots started working when you picked them up, and continued working after you put them on the ground; and Mjolnir didn't successfully smite anyone). If someone could tell me how to make the stuff actually work, I'd be happy to continue(/start) this mod.

Yeah, it can't just re-add hit-points, but it can make you heal faster, and possible regenerate limbs.
