Eight's hunting has been keeping everyone alive while Asehujiko makes bags for the whip vine flour (the dwarves had the good fortune of finding some webs). Once the whip vines have been milled, Drovy will be able to plant the seeds from them (now you'll care about seeds).

A giant eagle has appeared and now Eight is attempting to bring it down. May her bolts fly true, or ye all will be a snack.

Ha! This is a glorious day! Eight had no more bolts with her, so she chased the giant eagle about for some time. When she at last reached it, Eight clubbed the foul fowl to death!

18th Malachite
The magma tube was located, and Highlord Asehujiko setup a temporary magma smelter and forge. A magma man popped out of the tube just when he was walking up to start construction, and he ran away screaming, and just barely dodged a flaming projectile. There was no more game on the map, so Imperator Eight was called in to deal with this threat. When Eight arrived, the magma man had fled, no doubt he had heard of this hunter's skill. The magma man is still roaming around somewhere. Eight has the only entrance to the magma covered.

Eight was mine. It was a mistake not to mandate bolts.

You may not have known this, but Eight had a brother named Refin that planned to arrive at the outpost later. He was also a hunter. Since Eight had no heirs, his death would make Refin the new imperator.

I've always noticed that people complain about magma men running around when in fact it is the fire men that are running around. However if you look closely the magma men are stuck at the bottom of the magma vent. Probably a bug.

Oh, you had to make me farmer, didn't you? Well, in this case my first mandate is to mark all the seeds cookable, and build at least 2 kitchens working all day long.
Though it can be postponed until we have a stable flow of newborn puppies to be butchered and turned into nice lavish meals.
