I'm thinking about running a "wasteland conqueror" adventure in my Trashworld mod. What's the best place for a psychotic, dual-machete wielding warlord to make his home?

If you don't build your fort atop a volcano, you are not a real man. o3o

Hell, this gives me an idea. Recruit an army of fanatics, make them carry as many logs as you can get ahold of, bring them on an epic quest to somewhere remote and treeless, then kill them all and reanimate them via necromancy. This would conveniently free up all the logs you made them carry...

Ooh yes, sever some hands first and that way it actually magnifies your workforce, instead of merely being the brutal solution to not wanting to buy back all that wood.

Ooh. Colonize Hell with an army of woodbearers, and ritually sacrifice them and their hands to multiply the workforce via necromancy. o3o

i'm currently just building a box tower that filled with animals I recruit among the way.
and put them all in a zone that is sealed off.
probably could set up a magma/water pool for dumping companions in for future necromancy making.

you totally can set up ritually sacrificing folks if you set up a zone near hazard and assign folks to the zone and load the map again you could end up with some dead peasants.

If you built your house, put a door in, but forgot to slap even a single tile of roof over it first (being indoors is what wards off boogeymen) then... >_>

okay so here the thing with ambushes anyone can enter your house even if you happen to seal the whole thing off because the game spawns them in a circle around your starting position and if the starting position has no room to stand they basically drop all the attackers on the same tile you are on.
also being indoors ends  the cackling which wards bogeymen, bogeymen themselves aren't affected by walking inside or opening doors. basically npc bogeymen if they see anyone else inside will run in and murder them.
no one is safe unless you have no fear, or don't have (can speak or can learn?) which they will just ignore you.

I mean you yourself need a roof over your head to sleep over to prevent the boogeymen from appearing to begin with. If you prioritize a door over a roof, you've earned your devouring via boogey. o3o
