My chief med dward

So i got a problem, A giant tortise decides to attack one of my military squad leaders, The rest of the squad comes and attacks, and they do nothing, but the squad leader is over exerting himself, how do i get him back to the castle? he is also my chief med dward

Remove him from the squad by replacing him with another soldier. As a civilian, he'll probably run away.

I have tried that and didn't work, i got 2 dwarfs still there, and the tortise is just sitting there still, still getting battle reports the longest is like 40 pgs long, and it just says that they get up then fall back down from over exertion

They are out of the militia too and they are still fighting when they get up

Send out some dwarves armed with hammers and spears.

I think a civilian alert would work -- make a tiny (like, 5x5) burrow somewhere safe and set a civilian alert for it. If any of your squads or dwarves are active military, deactivate them. Usually when I do that a dwarf will break off from wild animal combat.

problem is, they cant move from over exertion, also they are tired and starving so ill just let them die or something, i got more dwarfs to send out, DIe little dwarves Die

Just sent out a squad of dwarfs armed with weapons to destroy the tortise hope it will get the other dwarfs back

Fact: the edit button is your friend

You probably don't have a weapon stockpile so it'll sit there until someone needs it or it gets stolen. Also a perfect yellow zircon is a gemstone.
