"Hey digi I feel weird for some reason today."

Digi has a mischievous look in her eyes.

"Weird, huh? Are you on your periooooood?"

Ati gives a chuckle and shakes her head.
"No....my body feels like its missing... A big piece of itself. "

"... huh. That's deep. Know what else is deep? The amount of trouble we're going to be in if we don't hurry our pretty asses up and get to class.

Wait, that expression didn't make sense."

"Yeah it kinda dident but let's focus on this school stuff now I think we're almost there...do you have anything on your mind by the way?"

"Nnnnnope! All that thinking stuff is your business. I just take life as it comes!"

Digi grabs Ati's hand and breaks into a sprint. Within a minute, they arrive at a large structure. Ati somehow knows it is called a school. There are three minutes until the class starts. Creatures of all manner of species flock around. A dragon is poking his head through a window.
The entire scene is fantastical. Krieg's class meets on the second floor.

Ati casually follows digi very clearly her mind soaking this information and analyzing it.

Digi hops into the classroom, Ati in tow. She sits at a desk in the front, with Ati sitting behind her. It appears this is the classroom the dragon was viewing. Now the dragon blinks, peering at the students.

"Good morning, students. I am Mr. Kriiiieeeg.... Class president, if you wooouuuuulllld?"

A robot in the front right stands up.

"Class, stand and bow."

Digi hops up eagerly, as does the rest of the class. She bows just a bit too far, and ends up falling forwards. Mr. Krieg looks on, confused, as she takes half a minute to stand back up.

"That huuuurttt.... I don't feel so good...."

Mr. Krief gestures to the robot.

"Would you take Digi down to the class nurse?"

The robot and Digi leave, Digi walking unsteadily. Mr. Krieg looks back to the class.

"We shall start without them.

... Alright students. Welcome to Destruction 101, year four. This is the mandatory class, yadda yadda. Now I know it's everyone's second day. You should all know each other by now.

Hmmm.... can anyone tell me the formula for calculating the arc an artillery shell should take? Don't forget to calculate wind resistance."

He looks hopefully towards Digi, but then clearly remembers she is gone. His eyes scan over the class.

Ati knows the answer, but something just doesn't sit right with her. Why are they learning about destruction?

....hmmm I don't like this... I can't remember correctly... I'll answer I don't think I'm in any real danger just yet.
Atigid pipes up and in a calm and dignified voice slightly prideful but not overly so she correctly answers the question.

Mr. Krieg nods. He continues lecturing in a droning voice.

Digi returns and sits in front of Ati. She turns to face her.

"How are you doing?"

Ati seems to grow visibly more stronger when digi arrives at stares for a few seconds eyes zooned out and digital would feel something try to meld before stopping suddenly as ati's eyes focus
"sorry I think I zoned out for a second there but I'm doing good... Why do we have a destruction class again? I mean destroying stuff is fun but I don't know why we need one."

Time seems to freeze when Ati questions the destruction class. Everyone is glaring at her, intently. Their mouths move in unison.

"Because destruction is the only truth."

Another, more serene voice enters her ears. It sounds like a mature version of Digi.

"Ati, the only way to win this 'game' is to kill Digi.

If YOU kill her, you win.

If something else kills her, you tie.

If she kills you, or you die for any reason, you lose.

If you both survive three days, you tie.

I will not explain what winning, tying, and losing means. They are not important.

If you decide to help Digi, then beware. She will not be safe. She will be in constant danger.

If you decide to kill her, beware. The universe may intervene. At the two-day mark, she will remember everything, and she will know her objective is to kill you.

I've nothing else to say. Good luck, I suppose?"

Time unfreezes. Digi shrugs.

Ati seems to be frozen up....in anger? Rage?
My friend? They want to hurt my digi? My property? My possession? The whole world shall drown in blood before that happens.
Ati smiles at digi and hugs her tight.
"Digi I need to tell you something after class okay?"
