Elin's face went blank, impossible to tell if he was upset, or for some reason pleased, by the turn of events.

"I see. Well at least it appears that there will be no need to worry about word being spread then." He scanned over each of the mercenaries again, checking their reactions.

"It is as they said. You are to act as escort for Mr. Andreas over the mountains to the other side of the nation. You are to ensure both his safety, and that of the contents of this box-" Elin looked over his shoulder expectantly. However there was nothing there.

"..." he began looking around the room, until his eyes locked onto the third member of his party, who had wandered off to look at painting of seals on the beach which had been mounted on the back wall.

"Andrew."

Apparently his words had fallen on deaf ears. The man was still focused on the paintings.

"ANDREW." he barked out.

Andrew jumped, and quickly ran over to rejoin him.

"Sorry about that sir." He pulled off his pack and extracted a small box from it, about 19 centimeters in length on each side.  "Here it is!" exclaimed Andrew, beaming at the world in general.

Shion glances at box peaking her curiosity, then made a small nod.



"Whatsss in the box mister?"

Bastion's face turns slightly serious, and looks straight at Elin.


"You aren't the kind of guy to tell us not to ask, right?"

"Sprook"stares at the box confused before blinking.

"Money or something?"

"Oh, it's got some dark god sealed 'n it or somethin', 'm sure! Hah. Never outgrew those ol' stories, yeh know."

"Seriously, though. Wha's so 'mportant 'bout it?"

"As long as I'm not going to getting on the wrong side of the law for being a part of the group transporting that box I don't care whats in it."

"Actually it's a-" however he was silenced as Lord Murquist held his hand over his mouth before he could finish.

"I suppose that the young man is not too far off. The closest comparison would be to a precious jewel. Nothing contraband I assure you. The details themselves are unimportant. What matters is that the object inside was by no means easy to obtain, and there are more than a few unsavory types out there who would prefer to take it out of our hands."

"And that's where you come in." said Aaron, stepping forward. ""Andrew will be delivering the crystal to another of our associates, Duke Esplund."

He pulled out a large scroll, and unfurled it on the table, revealing a map of Napelli.

"He resides here at Castle Tassian." he pointed to a spot on the eastern half of the map. "Should all go well, the journey should take merely a bit more than a week and a half."

"Sprook" comes to a realization and looks at the others.

"None of you are agasint dark magic correct?"

Aaron looked up from the map and raised his eyebrow at Sprook's interruption.

"You're not a death cultist or anything along those lines are you?"

Shion vigorously shakes her head at Aaron question.



"No none of us, I think."

"Sprook" looks at him face serious before cracking up.

"Hahahahah,no my father was a quite strong dark mage and i learned how to use it from him."
"I'm preety sure he wasent a death cultist."

"Then we have no issue then. Any other inquiries?"

Shion worked up courage to ask the mister a question.

   "Em... mister did you happen to sssee a younger girl and older man who look similar to me, while coming here?"

"Yeah, I got a question."
She looked at the box.
"So who else knows you've got it? And might be 'unsavoury' enough to try to take it? Because I wouldn't trust most of this lot without seeing them in a fight first, so if we're expecting to fight someone above the normal bandit trash..."
