Brecht pointedly turned the map so it was oriented correctly. "Right. Give me a few minutes to figure out where we are." His eyes flitted over the map, seeking to determine what path they had taken from their entry and, based on that, their current position. "And please do not collapse the cave."

"Sure I won't besides I still have things I need to do and they would be difficult to do dead."

The second thing noticeable about the map was that it only actually showed the outside of the mountain, with only a bare acknowledgement of the cave system.

Though possibly not immediately apparent, it could be seen that Brecht's hands were shaking. "Andrew. Are you aware that this map says absolutely nothing about this cave?"

Jezzail groaned and covered her face with a palm.
"Hellfire. I've been lead to my death by an idiot."

"I have a plan!"

Shion glanced at Sprook as he was talking.

"By plan i'm guessing you want to blast our way through?"

Sprook shakes his head.



"No if someone has a staff we can hit it against the walls and by listening to the echos we can find the exit quickly."

“Huh? Oh yeah, I was just looking at it to have an idea of what direction everything was-" Andrew's voice stopped when he peeked over Brecht's shoulder and noticed how he was holding it. “Oooooh. I did it again didn't I." he said, frowning.

"I'm sorry guys. Don't worry,  I've gotten out of worse situations than this! We just need to..." he leaned over to take another look at the map, before spinning around and pointing at one of the tunnels. "Go that way! I felt a breeze when we walked past that passage, so I bet we'll find a way out if we go there. If that doesn't work then we can try Sprook's idea."

He took a step forward towards it, but was greeted with a crunch beneath his foot. Looking down, they saw smashed fragments of bone on the cave floor. Andrew quickly swung his torch around, revealing several large nests scattered throughout the cave surrounded by more gnawed bones, both animal and human, along with rusting pieces of metal.

There was a fluttering of wings around them.

"Oh Dragon so that's why the floor felt so weird when we walked in." Andrew whispered as he withdrew a lance from his backpack.

Brecht stuffed the map into his cloak. "Right then!" He drew out his thunder tome, and flipped open the book with his teeth bared. "Let's punch through to that tunnel! If they try to follow us, we can funnel them in the narrow entrance!"
