Reserved for the turn update.

Acolytes:

The acolytes begin their descent onto the Feudal World, Hush. The shuttle is buffeted with tempestuous winds, the pilots hard-pressed to stay on course. Unnaturally, the gales are silent, unnervingly so. Sound is weak on Hush, hence its name. The shuttle trudges on in silence.

Finally, after what feels like an eternity of rocking, the acolytes get their feet wet with mud and snow. The dark of night blankets all. Far in the distance, twinkling lights call enticingly: the local caravan. Inquisitor Sabbath had contracted them to house the acolytes' party, in return for the acolytes performing the tasks asked of them when they were not given direct orders from the Inquisitor.

The tempest continues to wrack the acolytes, their furs and insulating blankets doing little to stave off the cold. Instead of the howling rage common to other storms, the gales of Hush sing in deathly whisper. The forest watches the acolytes, the trees tacit sentinels, the wildlife ogling with misshapen orbs. In the distance, titanic mountains maintain vigil over the caravan-cities of Hush, and far-off ruins speak of kingdoms long dead.

But towering over all, its mere size mocking the laws of reality, is a Space Hulk. One that crashed on Hush a hundred years ago, summoned by the witch-king Shoa Sabbath. It's name is whispered by the wind: Original Sin.

The distant lights of the caravan grow less distant. The acolytes should not dwell here too long, for darker things have dwelt here for far longer....

Why isn't my backstory in the character section?

"Why did the shuttle drop us all the way over here instead of by the caravan?"

Walk to the caravan, staring back at the wildlife in an attempt to make them respect me.

@the Blank: "So, what makes you special enough to be worth putting in a squad with me? I'm not trying to sound egotistical; it's just that the Imperium doesn't normally put a Blank in the same group as a Psyker. After all, the main power of an Untouchable is their ability to negate the powers of Psykers."

Irlven's optical mechadendrite peers into the night, focusing on the distant camp. His robes are pulled tight against the wind, bulging over his armor. He unslings his autogun, holding it loosely in his arms.
"It was the will of the Inquisitor. What are we to question their will?"

"I didn't mean to defy his orders- I just figured that he must have had some good reason to have us land away from the caravan, and that it might be important to know that reason. He doesn't have to tell us if he doesn't want to- I was just curious."

One could rationalize that the Inquisitions adepts did not want to risk landing too closely to a civilian settlement; the tempests called for a large margin of error, and the adepts agreed to land far enough to exclude the caravan-village from a likely crash.

That being said, there might have been a darker purpose to landing quite a ways away from the caravan-village. Perhaps as a test?

Chalchuitlicu had lit an Lho-stick, and smoke trickled darkly upwards as she turned to look at the psyker. She shrugged, her armour clanking softly.
"Perhaps, then, if you are a witch, the master has put me me here in case you need to die."
Her tone wasn't threatening - merely a uninterested monotone.

Irlven shrugs. "I queried not your intent, but your path. We do not have that dataset, so further communication between ourselves will not resolve it. The answer we are looking for is out there," he says, pointing into the woods.

The single Guardswoman in the party stayed out of the argument of the Blank and the Psyker. While the Blank was unsettling, to say the least, Kalta knew who to stay behind when the Psyker exploded into daemons or whatever they do. "We're supposed to head for the caravan, right? Let's just get on with it."

Once the rest of the party is coming with, start heading to the caravan.

Protheus wasn't interested in an argument  so soon between his teammates. "To the caravan." He was, however, rather interested in the fact he had felt negatively towards the armored woman right as they met, like the opposite version of love at first sight; all it took was someone else from the group to confirm his suspicions there was something "special" about her. A mutation of sorts, probably.

To the caravan.

"Could you guys also make a hamburger out of this arm when they cut it off? I wanted to eat it just for the sake of tasting it."
>That is horrible and disgusting. It will no doubt set you apart and create fear in your team mates. So of course.

Chalchuitlicu merely shrugged again and followed, the fragrant aroma of her cigarette following her as she walked.

"Hey, I'm not a witch. Witches intentionally summon daemons. I only summon them accidentally."

"You know that those things" *gestures at the cigarette or whatever it is* "are bad for your health, right?"

"I don't care." Chalchuitlicu said flatly.

It was not clear which particular statement she was answering.
Quite possibly both.

Irlven ignores the talk of witches and blanks, focusing on the road ahead.
