Makoto's ashes fall into both Tsuneo's lungs, causing him to choke and die.

Makoto holds a hand out for a handshake.

Tsuneo takes it, and shakes for slightly longer than necessary.

A tall, handsome young man steps into the room, seeming completely unsurprised to see the robot.
"Gerald. I'm Hayate Kobayashi, boys' dorm leader. A pleasure."
He extends a hand.

There is the sound of typing for a second, and then Gerald's robot's arm extends for a handshake.

He shakes it firmly, giving Gerald a smile.

The robot wobbles a bit.  The rhythm was slightly off.  Nevertheless, there is a handshake.

"Nice to meet you.  You're welcome to whichever bed."

"I assume you don't have much to pack?"

Zach looks at the room, committing it to memory. After all, when he loses his sight he is going to need to remember how his room is.

Kira returns to her practice

Etsuko starts to unpack her bags, which were already in the room. Presumably her parents brought them in.
"Won't have to give you a bed, either, heh. But still, if you need it for something your one's that one."
He points to one of the beds in question.
The rooms are quite bare, with bland, cream-coloured walls and dull furniture. A bed lies parallel to two of the walls, a desk sits near one corner, and a door to one side leads to a bathroom. Said bathroom contains a toilet, a sink, and a shower, along with some toiletries such as towels and some generic, brandless toothpaste and soap.
In all, the rooms aren't the most pleasant to look at, seemingly as neutral as possible. Not a hospital room, but not quite something one could call their own.

"All right.  This power outlet is mine, though.  Need to keep charged and all."

There is in fact a box in this room, brought in by Gerald's parents or someone.

He opens it.  There's...Spare parts inside, and that's about it.

He get up to take a shower, might as well inaugurate the bathroom.
