A scrawny kid is seen leaning against the fence, avoiding talking to anyone by making himself look as small as possible, reading a book. The book is titled, "Scarecrow" by Matthew Reilly. The kid has a number of manga books under his arm too.

A girl wearing a student council sash and a name tag runs up to Tsuneo's little group, pointing back towards the school entrance and breathing heavily.
"Haaahh... we're getting ready for the introductions back there. You guys should start heading back, Emi can get cranky when people are late."
Some of the student council people back at the table are conversing, and the tired girl seems to be waiting for someone to arrive, looking towards the school at intervals.
