"Yes." sash-person says, handing Megumi the same set of documents.

"Can't you have one on the internet? That's what I do."

The robot has followed Hitomi over to the Student Council table.

"I can, and do, but, it's just not the same thing.

Map?  Where's the button to take a picture..."

Some clacking noises emanate from the robot before a triumphant camera flash indicates a successfully taken picture of the map.

Megumi looks through the map.
"Thanks very much!"

[USEC_OFFICER]

"Isn't it? I think it's okay."

The brunette waves back. Rather carefully, Tsuneo might notice, which isn't to say she doesn't do it with a smile on a face and as much energy as you can muster into a light movement of the hand.

"Isn't it? I think it's okay."

"It's not quite the same, though."

The boy on the screen shrugs.  (The robot doesn't.)

"What's your name?  I don't think we've introduced ourselves."

[USEC_OFFICER]

"Is it any different from talking to them through a robot?" After a long pause she continues, "My name is Hitomi."

Megumi then turns to the robot. Slowly, she creeps up to the screen, waving at it slowly as if to test if it works or not.

"Yeah, it is.  Internet, you're not actually, well, there.  I don't know, it feels different I guess is it.

Nice to meet you Hitomi.  I'm Gerald.

Oh, hello there."

Thrre is a single click on a keyboard and the robot waves back.  (Gerald doesn't.)

He smiles at the antics.

"Hi."

[USEC_OFFICER]

"It doesn't seem different to me. We're still talking through a screen. If I put my computer on a cart would you consider it the same thing as this?"

The robot turns towards Hitomi again.
"No, but that's because I'd be wondering why you have a computer on a cart.  You don't need to have a computer on a cart.  I suppose I was unclear, though.  You as in you not me are actually present, instead of being there via camera."
It then turns back to Megumi, waiting for a response.

Megumi places her hands on her cheeks.
"Coooool! Is this some sort of robot?!"

[TheBiggerFish]

"...Yes?"

"So cooooool! Why do you need a robot?"
