A smaller world would result in fewer religions though.

We can't base empires off of religious views. The religious views land on the individual. We could say that the good empire raises their soldiers and citizens to value the good and morale values of life, whereas the evil empire's armies are trained to obey their ruler's commands down to the letter, the government is oppressive and abusive to the citizens, and the soldiers have committed the worst of atrocities in the interest of their leaders. The empires could be viewed in a way like South Korea (the good) vs. North Korea(the bad).

And as for a third kingdom, which I have voted for, we need it to be more or less neutral in most conflicts and it's ideology needs to be the median between the good and the bad.

I was sorta basing this off of modern-ish empires, like Japan, the USSR, and pre-WW2 America.

Which means whatever those two big empires are preaching is going to be more popular.

Just to nitpick, Japan had Shintoism. Other two are more-or-less true.

While that is also true, I was only thinking on the political side. We can still have the seperate religions, though the thing I'm ultimately saying is that these kingdoms, unless specifically designated as so, probably aren't going to be theocracies. Maybe aristocracy, some form of medieval fascism, or monarchy/patriarchy. There is a possibility for at least one of them to be a theocracy, but let's not let religion be the defining factor of the politics.

Depends, as far as I know, a heró could walk into the past to change everything to become theocratic, and maybe even believe in a god unexisting,.,,

I propose that the "good" empire be good in the cultural and moral norms that are prevalent in the population. They have a leader that is ruthless and despotic but must keep appearances because of the individualist culture that would rise to remove him should he show to be too removed from the values of his society. (thus, the already budding rebellion.)

Conversely the "evil" empire has collectivist culture, putting the needs of the state before all else and is ruthless and uncaring in it's societal morals and cultural norms. Thier leader is personally a rather moral person, but because of the culture he/she is part of they are centered on protecting and expanding the state.

The Spider is the symbol of the good empire. The spider represents the empire's indiviualistic determination as well as their national desire to remove the evils of the world, just as the spider devours the disease-spreading insects. Critics of the empire joke on how the spider is also a cannibalistic and devious creature with a short lifespan.

The Lion is the symbol of the evil empire. The lion represents the empire's collectivist nature and the brutal means that must be undertaken to ensure the state survives. The empire's enemies quip that the lion is also known for its courage and foolishness.

Awesome! You have basically summed up modern societies... No seriously I like your idea though.

Most have a democratic/parliamentary government style. Only a few have one total ruler.

The cow god Hesat has called all the world's cattle to her realm in the Ethereal demanding that people stop eating her children. This has caused problems.

We don't have a realm in the Ethereal, the next realm would be another hollow sphere X distance away from the current one.

Regardless, this lack of cattle has lead to the domestication of rather exotic animals.

Swamp grazers are raised as the main source of meat. A large, omnivorous, quadrupedal, mammal, adapted for life in wetlands and bogs. They are smaller than cows at about 1/2 the size, but breed much more readily. They have a snout like a pig as most of thier diet consists of plant life and insects they root out of the mud. They have a short glossy coat of hair, usually dull green or grey in coloration. They are not particularly fast, but have a hard, armadillo like shell on thier backs and the top of thier head. They have the dull flat teeth of a grazer, but incredible jaw strength using thier bite to crush limbs in defence.

Though thier natural habitat is in the swamp, they do perfectly well in pastures so long as predators are kept away.

Near the beginning of the thread we decided that the world was a hollow sphere surrounded by infinite stone/void with a sun suspended in the middle. Because of this, other realms were other hollow spheres an unknown distance away from our world. No mortal has ever dug far enough in any direction to reach one of these other realms though.

Here is the quote about realms, cant find the one relating to gods having realms.

Quote
The world, or at least the material plane, is on the inside of a vast, hollow sphere. In the center lies a single great sun, with 8 great shafts of obsidian transfixing it. These shafts occasionally shift, creating seasons. No one knows what is on the other side of the sphere. No one has ever dug all the way through it.  However, occasionally, when people dig deep enough, they find another cavern like their own. Or perhaps not. Perhaps, it is similar, but the material plane is from long ago or from the future.
