Maybe not Fenrir. Might go for one of the ice giants of Norse mythology. Unless you have your heart set on Fenrir.
Names?

Also, new poll is up.

I am not as well versed on Norse mythology as I would like, but I was mistaken about the ice giants, I was thinking about the titan Ymir. Or at least, y'know, the god before the main gods, that being Ymir. Just got my mythos wrong.

How would you guys feel about having sky islands/ small moons floating in between the ground and the sun? And if we have them, how isolated should they be?

It would be great. Maybe have them just within easy sight. Or we could have them very rare. Like one in a hundred odds that one is found.

>A band of adventurers somehow stumbled upon a stable portal to the Elemental Chaos. They have since established the Transdimensional Trading Company and are by all accounts, extremely rich. They often hire adventurers to explore the Elemental Chaos and pay quite well. That is, if their employees survive.

>The lost civilisation of Lemuria did not in fact collapse into the ocean. Rather, its people willingly sunk their continent into the deep and became undead. The Lemurians still watch the surface world, observing its backward neighbours with great interest. Were one to inspect a Lemurian city, one would suppose that they had developed the use of nuclear energy. While true, much of Lemuria's technology is magic-based and they are one of the few societies to intricately understand magic. The Greater Gods have considered destroying them for centuries.

The Skylands (pronounced like sky-islands) developed several forms of quick and easy air transportation to get to islands too far away for a bridge. They have simple gliders, cargo vehicles, advanced airships, and some people use magical means. It's extremely difficult for an Underworlder to reach the Skylands on their own, but if they do, they are met with open arms.

Might be a combination of simple physics and rudimentary magic.

There are two empires, one good and one evil. Each has members of more or less every race, including the normally good and evil ones. I am thinking Azantir as a name for the good one, but I am not sure about the other.

The good empire believe in a heaven after death where the good will be rewarded and the evil punished. The evil empire believe in an endless cycle of hopeless reincarnation that can only be escaped through intense discipline as espoused by their prophet's holy books.

We can't base empires off of religious views. The religious views land on the individual. We could say that the good empire raises their soldiers and citizens to value the good and morale values of life, whereas the evil empire's armies are trained to obey their ruler's commands down to the letter, the government is oppressive and abusive to the citizens, and the soldiers have committed the worst of atrocities in the interest of their leaders. The empires could be viewed in a way like South Korea (the good) vs. North Korea(the bad).

And as for a third kingdom, which I have voted for, we need it to be more or less neutral in most conflicts and it's ideology needs to be the median between the good and the bad.

Why can't the empires have their own religion? It's a normal thing: The Holy Roman Empire had Christianity, the British empire had the Anglican Church, etc.

True, but they also share an area roughly the size of the united States rolled up in a tube and cut at about 400 miles long.

Hmm? Empires usually do possess religious views. Sure, other religions may be tolerated but a state cult or faith is usually present. Even the Achaemenid Persian empire (which is one of those few empires we can consider to be 'good', even if only early on) patronised Zoroastrianism.

True, but they also share an area roughly the size of Oklahoma.

Wait, what?
