I think from the latest screenshots it's about 5FPS, modern computers just cannot handle this much awesomeness.

I think that only Toady's Holy Computer can run DF properly

FPS depends on where you're looking. If it's on a static floor down in hell it's 9. If it's on the tree farm it's around 5. During large goblin sieges it can be as low as 3, but I'm so used to it now I think I would feel regular fps was way too fast.

A true DF player. 5 FPS is normal and 60 is ultra high and unplayable XD

and, oh god, that's beautiful, i can imagine it illuminating hell by day,

and the lava from hell or the purple glow from the pits illuminating the forest by night. just imagining a dragon passing by at night and seeing:

An evil forest, with a weird and menacing cloud making sure no living thing other than trees will survive here and in the middle a giant glass tower, emanating a purple light like a beacon, mocking of everything and inviting enemies to certain death, it's the clouds that emanate the light? the flying beast thinks. But with a closer look it realizes that it's way worse.
