It tecnically IS in. NAV just has to get his lazy butt to update it. I nominated it like 3 months ago and it got the ten vote in under an hour. All these extra votes are just proving how fucking awesome this fort is

Just wanted to say this has been a fantastic read. Haven't been able to read close to all of it, but 336 years in a single fort is truly inspiring.

And I mean that in a literal sense. I haven't played since the Taverns etc update, and I've never done a multi-generational fortress, so I might take a stab it.

Good luck with your mad project sir, and may you be forced to update that year counter many times!

This is amazing, and scary somehow.

Fake edit: I just noticed now that there is a god named "sensual howls", i'm going to look at this entire thread again trying to find what this god is about.

Here’s the complete list of the dwarven pantheon of the Dipped Spears. I almost know it off by heart now, and it’s fun because it actually makes sense when I look at it after referencing it for so long. Most dwarves worship Akam, followed by The Sensual Howls and then The Sugary Tricks.

The Top Eight gods have churches built for them on the main level of the glass fortress in hell.

The other four are more cultish like Megob of Deformity and will have more hidden temples in various corners of hell.

The sensual howls makes a lot of sense for a generational fortress :P but I cant imagine your dwarves believing in luck....

Ptw, this is a truly great fortress that I one day will aspire to do, but at my current skill, or lack thereof, I can only watch, share with may friends, and read glorious story's of survival, conquest, and domination. You have done what few have done and will do. To the Archcrystal!! I learned of this from https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://dwarffortresswiki.org/index.php/DF2014:Hell&ved=0ahUKEwjAzJaS3dHTAhVIhlQKHXxmApIQFggfMAA&usg=AFQjCNGCVpMvUsLY0Brx62rh14XkNU4PKg&sig2=NkFLfs6gLtjdEqX6WyiuNA

I am re-PTW.. it would appear after a certain amount of time, the board likes reminding to send notifications?

Still, this is a fort for the ages, truly a testament to a mad overseer.  :D

Even without books or bookcases or paper or scrolls, my scholars are making discoveries through just oral debate in my library.

It's interesting that they can do this and become skilled scientists without any written materials (because the fort was upgraded from 40.24 to 43.05 it doesn't have the raws for paper and books). It gives it a very "science and philosophy of antiquity" feel to it.

Also, the guards are starting to punish work order violations more severely. Could start to get interesting for Fath....
