Turn 72NIGHT -Midnight-
Squelchy the Polyslime
Squelchy immediately detaches the caught components of his body, and pounces onto the vine.
[4] You detach your compromised parts
(-2HP) and pounce away toward the vine, immediately the vine is pulled away, pulling you toward safety !
The angry Omniphages attempt to lash one last time at you, to no avail.
You end up near the green slime, who is wiggling happily upon seeing you are saved. Together you ran away as fast as possible, eventually hiding in the safety of a hollow tree.
It was night already.

Luckily, this slime used pheromones close to your species. He said to you :
"Thank'a saving me, I was in a dire knack ! I'm Tickle, what ya name ?"He also asked what you would do now.

Caedan the Bloody Impaler
((Whoa, Caedan just uncovered some major plot. But I guess that's to be expected, since I'm in what is most likely the greatest library in the world.))
White wasn't the only Outsider... If another one comes, the world may be doomed.
Before leaving, ask the Eye Sentinel what the date is now. How long was it since the Catastrophe?
EDIT: Oh, and check for plot information regarding Heroes. How do people become Heroes? And why?
Once I find that out, return to Vanare's house.
I think you asked before for Essence Vessels here in the Library, but they have none.
"If we are going by the Phabatic Calendar, today should be the 30rd of Isome, year 2722."You made some researching about Heroes, legendary Humans you heard of during your travels. To find this information, you had to peer into the very definition of the Human species according to the ancient civilization.
"Humans". One of the first species to form a country, they were among the weakest creatures of the world. The reason was found much later : their Essence Coherence is naturally incredibly high, far higher than any other species. As such the Essence they absorb won't manifest as a powerful evolution of Body and Soul.
Yet there was a special case in Humans, individual of extreme power named Heroes. Heroes were Humans possessing unnatural power and growth potential far exceeding normal beings. The reason why Heroes even existed was the true power of Humans : they possessed an unique link as a species, bonding them together and allowing them to share their Essence. They were the only species with this power.
As such when Humans felt threatened as a whole, this power activated and all the Essence of normal humans was transferred in chosen humans, Heroes. Awakened as defenders of humanity, they were like ultimate monsters driven by the desire to protect humans. In time of peace Heroes were scarce, but in time of war their numbers increased. This power was called "humanity's survival mechanism".
Then you looked into more detailed informations about Heroes. Their insane strength wasn't their only defining feature, they were also characterized by an mind alienated from the world. They saw everything differently from common people, and felt connected to the world differently. Also, they had an extreme sense of empathy toward other humans.
[5] You also found some dreadful documents. There were secret research projects to artificially create and control Heroes, by scouting them while they were dormant and experimenting on them. Forceful Essence injection, horrible experiments over wide populations to activate "humanity's survival mechanism", and more terrible reports.
You also stumbled on the matter of inter-racial breeding. It turns out that in the ancient civilization, inter-racial relationships were commonplace mainly due to magic methods to create mixed offspring. And in the case of people with predominantly human blood (50% was minimal), it was possible to break away from the "Link" and thus unlock the same evolutive powers as other species.
After that you left the Library, bidding goodbye to the Sentinels. Navigating in the night, you headed toward Vanare's house...
[4] And didn't lose your way. After hours of walking through the silent woods, you spotted the light of her homeplace.

Terence the Bone Serf
Bah! Can't you learn to take the chaos in stride? While you were getting your lazy legs cut off I had to trick the beast into impaling itself! You have done nothing to deserve the arrogance with which you speak! Now either stay out of my way or prove to me that you are anything but a churl with a sumptuous blade!
Take the sword from the ground, rush to the undead hexabomination and stab it into the beast with all my might! Roast the swordsman (verbally) as I do so. If any of the feral undead try to get in my way, avoid them; do not engage.
About that sword... [1]
As soon as you grabbed the handle of the sword, you felt a cold chill in your spine. The perfect steel blade morphed into a disgusting charred blade surrounded with flesh, and a black eye with yellow iris suddenly opened on the sword's guard.
"Mmmmmh... Finally, I waited so long."A cursed blade. Or more precisely, a monstrous sword.
"I will help you, can't have you die so soon."[6] The flesh of the sword expanded around your arm, forming a huge arm of pure muscles. With not much choice left, you charged forward toward the stuck hexabomination and stabbed with all your might in it ! But the power of your blow, strengthened by the sword's power was so strong the backlash pulverized your sword arm. Furthermore you could feel the blade sapping at your mana.

The strike pierce the creature from back to front, greatly damaging it. You could see a massive amount of unlife energy escaping from the wound.
Still struggling, it partially managed to get out of the pile.
Swordsman: [3]
"Your trick got my legs in this state, I wonder if that wasn't part of your plan ?... If you wanted to cooperate, learn to communicate you blockhead !"With its legs gone and reduced into shattered remains, the swordsman could only crawl toward your common enemy. Yet when corpses approached too close, he hacked them quickly like a mower, propelling himself with his free hand.

You feel something is observing you... Land carefully, and check for nearby creatures.
Landing turned out to be the good decision. Right after you set foot on the ground amidst the thorn trees, some sort of skeletal winged serpent emerged from a cloud. There was an eerie fog of energy contained in between its skeleton. It didn't seem to dare approach the ground for now.
The creature circled in the sky above, but didn't approach the forest.
[3] You checked around, there were no creatures in your immediate vicinity, but you could feel presences nearby.

((The spire is missing, destroyed))
"My apologies but I never left the tomb, so I have no idea what this place is."[6] You walked toward the decrepit tower. There was a door, but luckily it wasn't locked.
Inside, the place was as messy as the exterior was ruined. Broken furnitures lying around, some decayed pieces of papers and remnants of books... that's what you could see from the outside.
Your body was too big to fit in the tower entrance...

Ask the locals about the tree and if they dont mind go have a sniff of the mana around it
You hailed a passerby, a scrawny Sylvarian with deep green eyes.
"The Lifetree ? It's the most important part of this camp, we can't afford to lose it. We believe the souls of our ancestors dwell in these trees, as such they are sacred to us."[6]
"You want to approach it ? It is forbidden without warriors escorting you."You went to the tree, which was heavily guarded. Once some guards noticed you tried to approach, they stopped you. After explaining that you just wanted to smell around it four bulky and hardened Sylvarians surrounded you and guided you to it, monitoring every actions you did.
You smelled the mana around the tree.
It was strong, but not incredibly so. Just a heavy smell of mana typical of long lived trees, it was not the first time you saw a tree so old. According to the smell, the tree was at least 200 year old. Apart from its age, you wondered what was so important about this tree.
In the night: [1] [6]
Later in the night, a tremendous roar was heard, so strong the ground itself began to shake. Far from there, a battle was raging. Blasts of energy, powerful explosions and the lights of fires rising...
The whole camp was suddenly filled with agitation and unease. Warriors gathered in the direction of the battle, and civilians hid close to the Lifetree.
You heard some warriors cursing "It's close to another Lifetree !". Some civilians said "Was it the Shegarian ?...". It seemed this camp was safe, but this turmoil made you think about the two other wolves. It was night time, and night was always more dangerous.

Gray the Unstable Prismetal Blaster
Rest here for the night. See if Barag can teach me some human words.
Night elapsed calmly, with the four of you taking turns to rest. You showed excited interest to learn of the human language, to which Kokaun answered positively. But with you and Barag unable to understand each other, you first learnt with Kokaun.
[1] The basic was to formulate human sounds. Currently you could only make typical slime burbling, which monsters could understand but humans couldn't. The two of you tried to make you say basic sounds, to no avail. Your sounds didn't come close to Kokaun's and were far from Barag's.
[3] Finally after much effort, you began to make audible sounds. It was nearly resembling a voice.
[6] In a fit of frustration you accidentally expelled elemental energy all over the room, wounding everyone !
"AAAAAAAAA" you shouted in anger.
Hey ! You made it ! Suddenly you understood how to make human sounds very well !
The frozen Brown, Kokaun's burnt tail and the dazzled Barag were not amused.
[4] Then came the learning of your first words. Barag said words, and you tried to say them. For some reason, Barag and Kokaun were rolling on the floor laughing uncontrollably. Turn out they made you say pretty nasty things. After recovering their serious a little, the exercise continued with Kokaun translating to you the words.
After many hours, you memorized and could say basic words.
[3] With fatigue taking its toll on you, it started to become harder to remember words. Sounds and meanings started to make a shambling mess in your head, and you could feel your productivity waning.
[1] You fell asleep straight away. Look like the lesson was over for now.

Attemp to cross the bridge, if its too small, take it with me (maybe i can find an use for it later) and find another way to cross the ravine
[3] The bridge was barely your size, and seemed rather unstable. The bridge was at least 100 feet long, traversing on it appeared like a bad idea.
[6] You pulled on the bridge to take it with you, but it broke partway ! Then you felt the ground trembling beneath your feet, as digging up the bridge fissured the ground.
[30ft of wooden bridge obtained][2] You attempted to get away, but the ground crumbled instantly ! You fell in the ravine with the landslide, attempting as best as you can not to die by swimming in the falling rocks.
You screamed as you fell into the depths. Soon enough, the wailing coming from the abyss covered your scream...

-3HPYou woke up, miraculously alive. You attempted to move, but realized you were covered in some sort of sticky mucus. Looking around, you saw that you fell on a massive glob of thick purple mucus, cushioning the fall. Your club and bridge part were intact, stuck in the substance.
You were at the bottom of the ravine. You couldn't even see the sky, and the wailing was continuing, distant yet everywhere.
This place was so dark you couldn't see very well. You could barely see the opposite cliff.
