The sun is rising, but the cloudy sky prevents its light from reaching the land.

"Taking on a whole town might be foolish, especially when we don't need most of its inhabitants, who would only get in the way. So, how about attacking a village to draw town guards there?.."

Ulkas continued to explain his idea to Astrosa. As their previous experience has shown, normal humans can't gather enough courage to even die properly. But if they can't use courage, its possible to rely on their fear. If two demons destroy a village just beneath the walls, with survivors fleeing to the gates and panicking townsfolk, guards would have no choice but to send a probing party to see if they could rout the demons, or if those are simply first scouts of invading army. Next would be destroying this party and seeing if their strength is enough to move onto bigger targets.

Retreating back behind the Crustiliacs, you begin aiming at the Golem.
The Crustiliacs are waving and clapping around menacingly, filling the room with echoes of angry clapping.

It advances toward the Crustiliac group, walking in a very unsteady manner. It throws an inaccurate blow toward the group.

Two of the crustaceous creatures get crushed by the heavy blow, fracturing their chitinous carapaces. One of them get serious wounds.
The three others instantly darts toward the Golem, encircling it and sizzling at his feet. The Crustiliacs powerful mandibles are made to cut through rock after all.

But their attacks barely damage the metal armor of the Golem -it seems the energy overload is reinforcing its plating-. But their numbers and relentless assaults are enough to make the Golem stumbles and falls !

Just before it falls, you aim and fire your crossbow.

You don't move an inch from your spot, and play dead just in case. The demons don't notice you it seems.
They approach the crevice from above, speaking among themselves. Some of them seem to be carrying something heavy, but you can't clearly see what.

They are coming closer...closer... Until they stop above the crevice.

Suddenly you feel something heavy and soft falling on you, and the air is filled with a pungent smell of carrion.

They are using the crevice as a dump, and are throwing carcasses of killed creatures in there.

The odor of rot and decomposition makes you want to puke.

"I saw many, many people die from hunger, from disease, or by the hand of someone who had nothing left to lose. So we fled. On a big and old ship, where many more died. Though I was already used to it by then. In the end, only three families survived the trip. We were hundreds when we left the harbor, we were only twenty a week later.

The rest is pretty banal. We ended up in Doro, pretending to be migrants, and settled there. We knew Cearns were hated by Fordanians, so we always hid our lineage."

As you take another look at him, you find yourself unable to turn away from his now blood-red eyes.

Traits:
Elder Vampire - Caedan is an elder vampire, and gains all advantages and disadvantages that come from being such a creature. He has matured enough as a vampire to be able to create thralls by feeding someone with his blood. Thralls are intensely loyal to their creator and become more physically capable due to their transformation. They do need to drink their master's blood every now and then, or they will perish. This also means that creating too many thralls may end up badly for the vampire, if he plans to keep them around. If the transformation into a thrall goes awry, it becomes much more like a monster and develops an intense craving for flesh
Night Vision - Caedan, as a vampire, sees perfectly well in the darkness. (unless all vampires come with this included, in which case replace this with Mesmerizing Eyes - Anyone staring too long into Caedan's eyes will sooner or later find themselves unable to resist his commands.)
Creature of the Night - Caedan becomes much stronger during the night, in addition to being harder to see.
Levitation - Caedan gains the ability to levitate and fly. Rather early for a vampire. Is it a sign of greatness? Or is it a mark of damnation?
Mesmerizing Eyes - Anyone who looks into Caedan's eyes for too long will end up unable to look away and become extremely vulnerable to suggestion, unable to resist most commands.

Skills:
Blood Metabolism - Drinking blood rejuvenates vampires.
Blood Boil - A spell that increases the victim's blood temperature to extremely high levels, effectively boiling/melting them alive.
Mist Form - Caedan can change into mist, allowing him to pass through things like barred windows and other such things. Changing into mist also lets him hide his presence in the right area, unless whoever he's hiding away from can detect him by magic or a different ability. He can also use it to nearly completely evade physical attacks.
Blood of the Impaler - This is the spell Caedan uses when he needs something dead so badly that he doesn't care if he spills blood. It creates a field of sharp spikes made of what looks to be crystallized blood. The spell is designed to be hard to dodge due to the sheer amount of spikes coming out of the ground. It also works pretty well against groups.

Glassy wings: A pair of wings has sprouted out of Glint's back. They seem to be built more for maneuverability than for speed.

Species: Fear Lord -stage 3-
Appearance: Dahak's appearance evokes a really large but still humanoid skeletal monstrosity made of a myriad of bones. Several skulls adorn and encircle his "neck" area, with Dahak's own skull having enlarged to equate to his new body proportions. His wraith cloth cloak seems alive and has glown large as well, covering him completely except for his head, and his aura is greater then ever before, though its not exactly enveloping him completely. It seems like a delayed shadow, following his movements like some sort of after image. His arms and hand bones are disproportionaly long and large for his already large new body.
He has a badass worn out cape and a scabbard with a holy dagger.

> Grand Core: Dahak's core has grown and shifted. Its no longer corrupted, and has actualy grown resistant to the influence of the corruptor world and other forms of mind altering magic. This doesn't mean Dahak can't be corrupted again, it only means he's a fair bit harder to corrupt then before.
>Fear incarnate: Dahak aura is now contagious. Enemies attacking Dahak have a change of being stricken with fear, and Dahak's physical attacks can also strike fear. This can have multiple effects depending on who or what is affected. Rolls caused by this trait don't trigger abnormality from another plane (since its not Dahak himself thats causing the rolls, but the enemy that gets affected by fear).

>Spook: Causes fear, may paralyze enemies. Doesn't work on mindless creatures.
>Feel the Fear: you can convert the fear of your victims into physical pain. Extreme fear will probably cause cardiac arrest.
>Feral Otherworldly Aura: When activated, Dahak's aura will twists into a random shape and performs an attack to a single or multiple enemies depending on what form it assumes. Activating this ability will cost MP and HP, and will drain HP and MP. Killing an enemy with this ability will recover some HP and MP.
>Weaponized aura: Dahak can merge with his aura to join his Int and Pow stats with his Str and Con stats, greatly increasing his combat prowess and toughness, but consumes mana every turn while its active. The aura can envelop Dahak like armor or be used like a weapon while its active. Feral Otherwordly Aura can't be used while this is active, but slain enemies return a small amount of HP or MP.

Behind her mask is hidden a surprisingly human face with a skin as pure as snow, with some strange ebon markings and symbols along her skin. Only her eyes are strange, as her eyeballs are black and her irises white. Her hairs are silvery and silky, tied in a neat ponytail.

Dahak realizes broke a few teeth and his jaw is slightly unhinged by the fall. The vegetables are gone too.

First he throws Nihil's kinda flatenned self on his shoulder, he'll be ok, he has no bones or blood to worry about.
Then he very carefuly picks up Delinde. Jeez, this is a lot of blood, and Dahak has no idea of how death fairy biology works. He skipped that class in the magic university, he was too busy with practical necromancy.
