Turn 67 : Taking inspiration from my other RTD, I will update sheets to make them more readable.
DAY -Evening-

Durst the Rock Seer

Durst reports this dream and his mission to Hertomal, and asks for advice. He also informs Hertomal that the name of the crater was Coridem.

DAY -Evening-
You approach the cave entrance, showing yourself in plain sight to signify your presence. The adventurers grab the handle of their weapons, ready to draw them. But Hertomal just waltzes around, coming toward you.
"Don't pay attention to these ruffians, they know nothing of the value of knowledge."

You report your strange dream and your mission. Everything you know.

[5] Hertomal is attentively listening, repeating words you say as to make sure you did say that.
"Mission ?...Mana ?...Silent Years ?..."

The more you go on about the dream, the more Hertomal's face change, getting more and more serious.
Then you mention Coridem, and the old man's eyes turn sharp and a serious glow sparks in his gaze. He grabs you by the arms.
"Coridem. Did you just say Coridem ?"

You confirm once more. You indeed said Coridem.
"What he is saying all makes sense now...and that means the rumors were true..." he mutters, before thinking silently for a second.
"Where ? Where is it ?"

He remembers you asked for advice, so he calms himself a little.
"I don't know how I could advise you. I have no idea what you mean by some mission about where the mana went, as I am by no mean a manalyst. Though Coridem... So you are from the same place as these strange human-monster teams of immense power..."

He keeps thinking.
"What am I going to say is pure theory, but isn't your mission related to mine ? I assume that like the ones from your village, you are looking for the reason the world changed after what you call the Silent Years. It seems to concord with my own goal, to uncover the apparition of Evolving Monsters and the sudden acquisition of intelligence by monsters all around the World."

Having finished imparting his piece of mind, he abruptly asks again :
"Where can we find Coridem ?"

[5] You sprint through the vast underground plains, heading toward the tunnel leading to the surface. By an insane fit of luck, you find mana absorbing plants along the way. Eerily shaped trees and grasses with a bright cyan hue due to the accumulated mana.

The young man smiles at the prospective of skipping service.
"With great pleasure !"

He shows you around the civilian area. Tents are set up in an ordered manner, and there are many services available. Food services, medical help, there is everything necessary to live.

"This is only temporary though" he says that just before pointing at a caravan.
"These civilians are preparing for the next caravan to Eastarm. There should be some place left if you want to leave now. In less than a week, all civilians will be evacuated to Eastarm and the mainland."

Dahak the Fear Lord

In what seems to be becoming a huge trend lately, Dahak struggles to understand what exactly is happening. Nihil just kinda flopped to the ground like a sack of moldy potatoes in the wind after getting violated by the white portion of the corruptor thing, then Delinde... Performed surgery on him?

Dahak isn't sure fog scythes are very hygienic.

Regardless, the thing seems to be mostly beaten by now, as the feral aura keeps mauling it like an angry cat, but its not completely destroyed yet. Delinde seems to be handling things alright with Nihil, so Dahak decides to focus on eliminating the last corruptor bits.

THE SOONER WE DESTROY THIS THING THE SOONER MY AURA WILL STOP BEHAVING LIKE A FERAL GORDON RAMSEY

Dahak has no idea what a Gordon Ramsey is. He deduces it must be some kind of dog breed.

Destroy whats left of the corruptor. Make fun of Nihil when he wakes up.

DAY -Noon-
[1] As you raise your hand to strike down the Corruptor, you feel an ominous wind blowing. The Corruptor has stopped screaming in agony as soon as the spirit was sent to the afterlife or something.

"FREE. FREEEEEEE."

Mmh. Sounds very bad. You don't hesitate and punch with all your skeletal might, but before the blow can connect a powerful shockwave sends you flying backward.

[5] You land with unmatched grace, in a terrifying way. As you got attacked, your -Fear Incarnate- trait activates. Furthermore, though you don't know this fact, the Corruptor awakened its Individuality, subjecting it to your -Fear Aura-. Your jump was so spooky that it scared the Corruptor, sending it in a great state of confusion.

A strange phenomenon occurs to your Grand Core that recently absorbed Essence. The "fear" of the Corruptor resonates with the corruption in your core, and the Essence seems to purge some of the corruption.

Delinde doesn't have as good reflexes as you, and actually get pretty surprised by the shockwave attack. She get thrown on a rock once more, but to make matters worse, the Fog Scythe flies in her direction and lodges in her arm, crucifying her on the rock.

Feeling the sudden Corruptor awakening, Nihil woke up in a panic, also awakening the parasite spirit lasting presence inside him. He managed to resist the shockwave, but because of the inner confusion, he doesn't seem like himself.
He is speaking nonsense and moving erratically.

The Corruptor is the same size as a human now, but has no fixed form. It attempts to draw power from the rock circle, but fails to do so. You can feel its power increased greatly since the spirit disappeared.

Stormslayer the Aradian Mirage Beetle Mystic

"I think that we will be able to draw them out without using the queen as a relay. Gather together as large of a raiding party as you can without leaving this place defenseless. We march on their fortress today."
Setting off, Stormslayer would lead what troops could be gathered to the nearest human fortress, keeping hidden in the forest while he attempts to judge the distance between it and the cover of the trees.

Thankfully for you, an assault of magnitude was already prepared for today evening. Ako discussed with other commanders, and managed to integrate your proposition in the plan. They have nothing to lose, as the human stronghold is on an open area anyway.

After setting off, you and the Sylvarians forces walked for the whole afternoon. Now the sun is close to setting.

[3] Ako granted you the command of a scouting Sylvarian force : you have 7 Sylvarian scouts under your command. The rest of the forces are led by Ako and various other Sylvarian commanders.

All forces are waiting at the limit of the forest, Ako comes to you.
"Time to show your plan. Don't worry if it fails, they would spot us anyway as soon we would walk off the forest."

"They 'were' a warlike people? A slip of the tongue, or did something happen to them?"

Continue our travels. Take great care to not be near the old lady. It'd be pretty bad if she realized how handsome Caedan is.

DAY -Evening-

Time flies by fast in the company of humans. How strange. In a way, you feel like their presence is...enjoyable, when they don't know of your secret.

You discuss with Ramas for the remaining of the trip. GM Cearn fate roll : [6]
"A pretty surprising story. I heard the war took such a toll on the Cearn people that a rebellion occurred, and their king was taken down. Since then, they became a really cooperative people, and themselves sent many envoy for peace. I don't know much though, as I only heard everything from more knowledgeable people."

An old man overhears you, and adds :
"You got pretty much everything right young man. The past Cearn King was a conqueror wishing to expand and take over the whole Esmerande Sea borders. But he was so focused on his conquest that he neglected the economical state of his country, and the people back there were left in awful poverty. A civil war erupted, the whole Cearn forces were forced to retreat and the Cearn capital -the island of Darmen- was subject to a coup. The rest is a bit complicated, but in the end, the king was exiled and the Cearns changed a lot."

An interesting story, you would like to learn more but you realize you are already at the gates of Eastarm.

Eastarm is an immense city enclosed by a ring of high rock walls. There are four iron gates, each in one cardinal direction. The main notable buildings of Eastarm are a huge castle in the middle of the city and what seems to be a large academy of some sort. Aside from that, the GM is bad at describing cities so don't expect much.

Once you are inside Eastarm, you are immediately brought to a clinic for Firande. Here, a woman doctor take care of her. She reassures both of you, saying she will survive despite her strange wounds. Upon seeing those wounds, she asks a male nurse to take you to the closest guard post or adventurer guild post.
"These wounds are abnormal, you should report what happened to he security forces. Hark will accompany you."

In the meantime, you recovered all your HP and MP from the nice and relaxing trip.

Ulkas the Sorcerous Osyluth of Lies

"Can you lower your voice, please? Beside me sleeps the one who killed Fenia, the Red Priestess. And if I were you, I wouldn't want to wake her up..."

Ulkas grinned, rather pleased at that. As common to all demons, he loved making barely-hidden threats in his speech.

"This said, what do you want to do now, that you are free from the Guardian presence? Also, on a similar note... Do you have a name?"

Inquire more information about this spirit. Calm Astrosa back to sleep if there is no threat.

"Oh-oh-ooooh ! Shhh. Shhhhhh."

It lowers its voice.
"Name~name~name~Balask~Baaalask"

"Balask" seems to be its name.
"Fenia gone, spirits grow. Grow. Grooow. Nooo longer hinders us. Nooooo longer stops us. Now nodus are ours-ours-ours."

Nodus ? You inquire about this term.
"Rocki-circle is nodus. Nodusnodusnodus. From nodus power escapes. Priestess protects nodus. Not anymore."

You understand what it meant. "Nodus"/"Nodi" are the rock formations. From what it is saying, "power" escapes from these places, and Fenia presumably "protected" them from spirits. You can partially understand now, with such a raw energy source in these place, it was surprising there was no one trying to take care of it.

Gray the Metalslinger and Glint the True Arcanivore

Since we're safe, eat my way down into to soil to see if I can find higher concentrations of elemental essence.

Help with this, since there's not much else to do. Keep an eye on the Radsaars and what they're looking for, though. You never know, it might be worth going after.

Now that you are presumably all safe, Gray, Brown and Glint begin to dig in the elemental rich-soil, as per Gray's idea. Together, they manage to progress pretty fast thanks to Brown high dirt consumption and Glint elemental smell.

You uncover some mechanisms as you dig, probably linked to the traps around the hole. For some reason, Gray accidentally triggers one of them, making another set of fences rise around your hole. The noise also get the Radasars attention.

As Gray is panicking, Brown and Glint keep digging... and stumble upon an undiscovered elemental vein.

The Radasars are coming toward your position.

[4] You analyze the magical constructs carcasses. All of them are golems and artificial beings, like you. Except they ceased activity long ago. Studying the magical constructs doesn't give you much clues about what happened here.

There is so much junk left around you could even salvage some to "upgrade" your body or something.

Though during your investigation, you stumble into some room filled with papers and schematics. Interesting.

Demonic Mana-infused stone - Magic attacks against Durst will, while still harming him, slightly restore his MP. Additional resistance to Demonic attacks, but weakness to anti-Demon attacks.
Skills :
Read Mana: Durst can "read" the mana waves encircling the world, obtaining information about his area, and can sometimes gleam information of the future.
Demonic Mana Shield - Durst can deploy a bubble-like shield which will stop mana attacks. Depending on the roll, the attacks may bounce back at the attacker, and even possibly at a higher power. On a low roll, the shield may amplify the effect of the mana against Durst. The shield has low effect on physical attacks. Direct physical contact may have adverse effects on the psyche.

His fangs are elongated and seem extremely sharp. He wears black clothes fit for a nobleman, with some purple accents here and there. An arming sword hangs at his side. As you take another look at him, you find yourself unable to turn away from his now blood-red eyes.

Traits:
Elder Vampire - Caedan is an elder vampire, and gains all advantages and disadvantages that come from being such a creature. He has matured enough as a vampire to be able to create thralls by feeding someone with his blood. Thralls are intensely loyal to their creator and become more physically capable due to their transformation. They do need to drink their master's blood every now and then, or they will perish. This also means that creating too many thralls may end up badly for the vampire, if he plans to keep them around. If the transformation into a thrall goes awry, it becomes much more like a monster and develops an intense craving for flesh
Night Vision - Caedan, as a vampire, sees perfectly well in the darkness. (unless all vampires come with this included, in which case replace this with Mesmerizing Eyes - Anyone staring too long into Caedan's eyes will sooner or later find themselves unable to resist his commands.)
Creature of the Night - Caedan becomes much stronger during the night, in addition to being harder to see.
Levitation - Caedan gains the ability to levitate and fly. Rather early for a vampire. Is it a sign of greatness? Or is it a mark of damnation?
Mesmerizing Eyes - Anyone who looks into Caedan's eyes for too long will end up unable to look away and become extremely vulnerable to suggestion, unable to resist most commands.

Skills:
Blood Metabolism - Drinking blood rejuvenates vampires.
Blood Boil - A spell that increases the victim's blood temperature to extremely high levels, effectively boiling/melting them alive.
Mist Form - Caedan can change into mist, allowing him to pass through things like barred windows and other such things. Changing into mist also lets him hide his presence in the right area, unless whoever he's hiding away from can detect him by magic or a different ability. He can also use it to nearly completely evade physical attacks.
Blood of the Impaler - This is the spell Caedan uses when he needs something dead so badly that he doesn't care if he spills blood. It creates a field of sharp spikes made of what looks to be crystallized blood. The spell is designed to be hard to dodge due to the sheer amount of spikes coming out of the ground. It also works pretty well against groups.

Appearance: An oversized lizard made of glass. It shimmers with mesmerizing white light. Its body seems to inhabit both ice and electricity in an harmonious equilibrium. Its glass scales are pure blue, and shine beautifully. A golden core can be seen on its torso. It has a pair of glassy wings.

Mesmerizing: Those who look too directly might find themselves entranced.
Elemental Duality -Ice and Electricity-
Arcane Void: Magic, including ambient mana, are drawn to Glint's body like metal to a magnet. Spells are partially or completely absorbed, and whatever natural level is floating around will be constantly siphoned into Glint's reserves.
Regenerative Core: you can regenerate your lost body parts and your recovery is greatly increased. Passively, drain a small portion of MP to heal you. Can be activated to increase its regenerative powers.
Glassy wings: A pair of wings has sprouted out of Glint's back. They seem to be built more for maneuverability than for speed.

Skills :
Calcifying Venom: Bites will gradually turn the victim into a pearly statue.
Elemental Breath -Ice and Electricity-
Overload: Glint can now boost the power and capabilities of his natural traits by expending MP. This often causes the trait to exceed its usual limitations- for instance, mesmerizing might become mind control.
Devour: Glint's aura breaks away and attempts to consume the target. This converts their life force into mana for Glint's use, and absorbs much of whatever magic they hold within their bodies.

Appearance: An enormous armored insectoid-like creature standing like some kind of centaur. It has six-legs on its abdomen for mobility, and its upper body arms end with deadly scythes. Its carapace is black and shiny, and its five eyes are red.

Name: Dahak
Species: Fear Lord -stage 3-
Appearance: Dahak's appearance evokes a really large but still humanoid skeletal monstrosity made of a myriad of bones. Several skulls adorn and encircle his "neck" area, with Dahak's own skull having enlarged to equate to his new body proportions. His wraith cloth cloak seems alive and has glown large as well, covering him completely except for his head, and his aura is greater then ever before, though its not exactly enveloping him completely. It seems like a delayed shadow, following his movements like some sort of after image. His arms and hand bones are disproportionaly long and large for his already large new body.
He has a badass worn out cape and a scabbard with a holy dagger.

>Fear aura : You naturally generate a fear aura, generating fear in the beings around you. You can turn it off, or expand mana to strengthen it.
>Abnormality from Another Plane : because of its connection with the "Corruptor World", Dahak's very presence can and will cause strange phenomenons. If Dahak rolls a [1] or a [6], rolls from anything close to Dahak will get reduced or increased by 1.
-If a [1] is decreased by 1, it will become a [6], if a [6] is increased by 1, it will become a [1].
-another unaffected roll will be done by the GM, to determine what will appear or happen because of Dahak connection...
> Grand Core: Dahak's core has grown and shifted. Its no longer corrupted, and has actualy grown resistant to the influence of the corruptor world and other forms of mind altering magic. This doesn't mean Dahak can't be corrupted again, it only means he's a fair bit harder to corrupt then before.
>Fear incarnate: Dahak aura is now contagious. Enemies attacking Dahak have a change of being stricken with fear, and Dahak's physical attacks can also strike fear. This can have multiple effects depending on who or what is affected. Rolls caused by this trait don't trigger abnormality from another plane (since its not Dahak himself thats causing the rolls, but the enemy that gets affected by fear).

Skills :
>Spook: Causes fear, may paralyze enemies. Doesn't work on mindless creatures.
>Feel the Fear: you can convert the fear of your victims into physical pain. Extreme fear will probably cause cardiac arrest.
>Feral Otherworldly Aura: When activated, Dahak's aura will twists into a random shape and performs an attack to a single or multiple enemies depending on what form it assumes. Activating this ability will cost MP and HP, and will drain HP and MP. Killing an enemy with this ability will recover some HP and MP.

Metal Barrage: Gray fires off soft or hardened pieces of himself at an opponent. The soft shots stick to the surface they contact, while the hardened shots pierce into or though the target. Uses HP instead of MP, each shot/blob has the amount of HP used to power it. If the blob is destroyed, the HP is lost.
