Turn 59b : ZoomochScoomtarto, Glint, Gray, T946, Stormslayer and Coptic
ZoomochScoomtarto the Four-Eyed BeholderFire Again!
[3] You focus your remaining energy into the beam, firing it.
You lose 5MP
The beam intensity is considerably weaker than before, it seems overusing it weakens it. Thankfully this last attack is more than enough to turn what remained of its face in a pile of molten rock.
The magma monster is flailing around weakly and desperately, wailing in pain, as it is losing more and more of what you assume are his vital fluids.
HP: 13/17
MP: 0/17
Glint the Arcanivore and Gray the MetaldeeStay out of sight, hope the thing moves on (after killing the humans, of course). Also recover mana and stuff.
Watch the fight. See if the thing leaves after fighting the humans.
Glint :
[4] You stay safely at a distance from the battle, focusing on accelerating your mana recovery. It works with great success, as you enter a state of deep meditation.
You recover 7MP
Gray :
You do the same. A strange picture of some unknown and foreign delicacy appears in your mind, some kind of paper bag filled to the brim with small and white-yellowish cloud shaped things.
Vagush roll : [6]
Vagush manages to recover a proper control of his body.
"Sorry for worrying everyone." he says, before suddenly collapsing from the exhaustion.
Batoid monster vs humans roll : [5] vs [5]
The ravenous monster charges at the human group with its maw wide open. The sheer terror and the confusion cause the sand mantas to go awry, and the humans are thus unable to properly position themselves, or try to flee. The only two valid hunters jump off their mounts in a desperate manner, leaving the rest to be engulfed by the monster. All the wounded and corpses are eaten along with the mounts.
Two especially reckless humans manage to jump on the monster back, and stab it repeatedly with their spears. They then each take out a phial of concentrated poison and pour them into the wounds. Giant Desert Scorpion venom of high quality, one of the deadliest neurotoxic poisons used by hunters. They know this batoid monster won't manage to hold off the poison, as they have a wide range of information on it, unlike about the glassy creature and the blobs.
Batoid : [3]
Humans : [4]
The monster nervous system screams danger coming from the back, and the large batoid tries to shake off whatever is on its back.
But the two men firmly hold onto their deeply lodged spears, and manage to hold their ground.
B: [3], [2], [4], [3]
H: [1], [3], [4], [1]
You watched the battle unfold for a whole half an hour. The batoid kept shaking wildly, eventually managing to make the humans fall after they got thrown off by a sudden strong wind.
Then they kept trying to dodge the enraged monster attacks, to stall out time until the poison would take effect. They did manage to survive, albeit painstakingly, for a moment.
But in the end, they got crushed as the monster managed to corner them near the end.
Outcome roll : [3]
You see the monster beginning to leave. But its movements feel sluggish for some reason. It is moving really slowly, you could easily catch up to it if you wanted.
Glint :
HP: 17/17
MP: 17/17
Gray :
HP: 15/15

((Sorry, I forgot to reward you essence !))

[3] You enter an energy saving mode, and your body undergoes repair. But in such a hostile environment, your body doesn't manage to properly repair and recover energy.
You recover 2HP
You recover 3MP
You notice some time have passed, and there is a large monster leaving, with traces of fierce battle. The group of monsters you met before is still here.

Stormslayer the Aradian Mirage Beetle Mystic Some days passed since Stormslayer settled and actively focused on increasing the standing of the colony.
Colony fate roll : [1]
The first day of establishment, everything went so smoothly every Mirage Beetle believed the colony would prosper and grow as strong as the main Hive. Then Stormslayer came back with news from beyond, of warring species of different origins. A tale of humans, Sylvarians, demons... Making a choice was not easy for the young Queen, and with the advent of their rising individuality, they decided to form a reunion with the strongest willed members of the Hive to discuss the procedure to follow.
It was thus decided that the Hive would join forces with the people of the Forest, and Stormslayer was sent to negotiate the terms of the alliance. Meeting again with Amarylis the Sylvarian, they easily reached an agreement, and pressed Stormslayer to get back to his home : strange movements from the humans and demons were noticed.
And as it turned out, Stormslayer was followed by humans scouts during his first return. But he didn't know.
And during the few days he wasn't there, tragedy struck the Hive.
A full contingent of human soldiers attacked the newly created Hive, and destroyed it as a preventive measure. Aradian Mirage Beetle are a known dangerous species from the desert, and an Aradian hive was a top priority target for destruction. Back in the history of Ashafan, many villages and caravans were lost to Hive who were left alone for too long.
When Stormslayer came back, there was nothing left of his home. The ground was burned with magic and the corpses of his kin littered the place. Even when he rushed for the main chamber, he realized with horror that even the Queen and larvas were killed.
Guard-kin fate roll : [2]
Guard-kin stayed behind while Stormslayer left to meet the Sylvarians. As such, he stayed there to protect the hive until his last breath.
He did so admirably, like a true warrior, as his carcass was riddled with spears and broken swords littered the ground around him.
He met his end fighting for his Queen and the Hive until the end.
Stormslayer fate roll : [5]
Stricken with despair, Stormslayer nearly gave in to madness. But under the corpse of his old companion, protected by its strong arms, he found an inestimable treasure : a royal egg. A miraculous glimmer of hope. A new Queen would always lay a royal egg first, who would give birth to a future princess. The born Aradian Mirage Beetle would get the title of First Princess. And Guard-kin defended it bravely, fulfilling his role even in death.
Taking it with him, he left his devastated colony, seeking refuge with the Sylvarians for the time being. They had to know about the doom that befell on his home.
Stormslayer. You are back in the Sylvarian territory, in front of a Lifetree in company with Amarylis and some other important Sylvarians.
What will you do ?

Coptic the Mystic Avian Since recent troubles in the forest, you had to leave your previous nest. Night has fallen since less than a hour, and you are wondering where to go now.
Maybe you could leave the forest for the West and the plains. Or South and the vast steppe. Even West for the mountains. Or North for the desert.
The forest is silent, the green has turned into a dark blue. Scarce gusts of wind makes the leaves sing, sometimes breaking the silence of the night.
