Turn 59a : Ulkas, Dahak, Durst, Snehk and Caedan
Ulkas the Sorcerous Osyluth of Lies"Perfect. And now... Drop."
Make smaller creatures dive into the earth while releasing control and concentrating on the bigger one. Make it attack itself.
[4] You mentally order the controlled creatures to dive to their death, and they execute your order head first. And as they are plunging toward the ground, you concentrate your powers on the one fighting Astrosa.
[5] Compared to before, you feel nearly nothing obstructing your way toward the mind of the creature. Probably because of Astrosa's actions, the monster is too focused on her to pay attention to its surrounding.
You lose 5MP
Manipulating its mind to your will, you twist it just enough so that the creature sees itself as an enemy. As a result, it completely disregards the crazed woman rampaging on her body and begins trying to rips pieces of flesh out of its sides.
Monster roll : [1]
The feathered monster stabs violently at itself, and manages to contort itself in such a way that he loses control of its flying. It begins falling toward the earth, with torrent of blood spewing out of all its wounds -self-inflicted or not-.
Astrosa roll : [5]
Astrosa is still riddling the monster with holes, and took this occasion to make even more holes in it. She is flying and adjusting her speed so that she can keep stabbing it, ravaging its internal organs even more than before.
Then in a loud slam, the mutilated monster crashes on the grassy ground, bloody bits of flesh and organs flying everywhere in a large radius. Astrosa lands atop the carcass, and laughs heartily.

Durst the Rock SeerDurst grumbles something witty about kids not respecting their elders. He leans down, selects a pebble from the ground, and takes aim at the orb. He reads the mana, trying to figure out exactly where to throw. He then casts away the stone. If it connects and the orb is dropped, he tries to catch it as it falls. Durst hopes this peculiar item might hold the secret to killing the demon.
[2] You read the mana around the demon and around the orb, searching for the right timing to throw your pebble. But after reading it, no proper occasion or angle comes to your mind. On the contrary, it seems you won't be able to land a hit from this distance.
You still try your chance and throw the pebble, using your ballistic knowledge rather than what the mana is saying.
[4] You are reminded of an old adage saying "the voice of the World doesn't speak of fate nor of truth" while throwing your large pebble. Despite what mana was saying, your rock connects with the orb, making it fall off the hand of the demon.
Purple demon roll : [3]
As he was smugly watching the orb do its work, a miserable pebble hit the object and made it fall toward the ground. It took more than a second for the demon to realize what happened, as he was too absorbed marveling at his superior might over these puny insects. Reflexively trying to grab the orb, he only managed to graze it, and watched in horror as it fell toward the ground.
[1] You run toward the falling orb, trying to catch it in flight. As you are running looking at the orb, you don't notice a pebble on the ground and trip on it. You fall flat on your face, and the orb falling from more than 10 meter high neatly crashes on your head, fracturing both your rock and its crystalline structure. The impact and the pain echo throughout you, stunning your senses.
You lose 4HP
Some of the golden fluid seeps out of the cracks, and slip into your rocky body. You feel a warm sensation you would qualify as "youthful".
You gain 2 essences. You can transform
Overall battle roll : [2] vs [5]
This is nothing else but a curb-stomp battle. All over the battlefield, land sharks are being killed and separated, further accentuating their messy defense. With smart tactics, the demons make the most out of the situation, and eliminate the most dangerous assets of the land sharks. The front line has fallen, the chief whereabouts are unknown. There is no hope left for the land sharks, only a miracle could save them.

Dahak the Uncanny Unreasonably Spooky Scary Skeleton((Well thats ok but WHY DOES THIS KEEP HAPPENING))
WHY DOES THIS KEEP HAPPENING?
Dahak isn't sure why he just burtled out those words. Its not like they don't reflect what he's feeling right now, but it seems kinda odd. He pays no mind to it.
Dahak grabs at his core, he can feel the corruption spreading like pudding over a fat woman's apron. Its getting so bad its interfering with his thoughts.
You know, as much as I apreciate some essence, you could've AT LEAST TRIED TO CLEAN IT FIRST. This corruption business is getting so bad I can almost feel tentacles comming out of my eyesockets. Speaking of tentacles, I'm really glad you guys turned out ok, I'm pretty sure things could've turned out a lot worse..
Images flash in Dahak's mind for a bit.
A LOTWORSE
Dahak shakes his skull for a bit, then turns to Delinde.
ANYWAY, I'm sorry, ok? Nihil is right though, I had the best of intentions in mind for all of us. The huge wall of genocidal snot was my responsibility, and that plan was my best shot at dealing with it. Actualy I was trying to connect Nihil to the thing so they'd form a single being then destroy his exposed core which would destroy the thing and also release all that delicious essence it got from the world guardian but hey nobody cares about that anymore olololol fuck
Things turned out ok! See, you've even grown taller! Imagine living an entire fey existence as a vampire loli thing, whatever that is? It is only through me you've known the joys of having proper height >:v
And look at Nihil! He's like, an actual being right now, and a very unique one at that! This whole shebang has cleansed him from the corruptor dimension's influence, he's a whole new being now, free to do what he wants and stuff, like eating pancakes and stabbing people. The joy of life.
Dahak then remembers that Nihil mentioned something about purpose.
Uh, purpose, you said something about yours and my purpose? I don't remember anything about that, the corruption is basically doing yoga with my mind at the moment. Urgh, lemme try to remember
Dahak makes an effort to try and focus his fuzzy, adled mind and remember his past.
Uh, I guess you better tell me instead, thinking may not be the best thing for me right nooooooooooooooo-
Suddenly the essence inside Dahak starts to shift into his core. His aura manifests and grows greatly. He starts to transform.
ASSUMING IT WORKS AND DAHAK CLEANS HIMSELF FROM CORRUPTIONName: Dahak
Species: Fear Lord -stage 3-
Appearance: Dahak's appearance and features shift and grow wildly. The spikes on his head seem to sink back into his skull, and his second pair of eyesockets seem to disappear. For a moment, he seems like a normal skeleton, but then his aura envelops him completely. A huge ammount of bones spurt from his ribcage and attach to his joints in odd ways. After a good minute of this, Dahak has shifted to a really large but still humanoid skeletal monstrosity made of a myriad of bones. Several skulls adorn and encircle his "neck" area, with Dahak's own skull having enlarged to equate to his new body proportions. His wraith cloth cloak seems alive and has glown large as well, covering him completely except for his head, and his aura is greater then ever before, though its not exactly enveloping him completely. It seems like a delayed shadow, following his movements like some sort of after image. His arms and hand bones are disproportionaly long and large for his already large new body.
He has a badass worn out cape and a scabbard with a holy dagger.
Attributes increase:
hp +4
mp +8
int +1
pow +1
Traits :
>Skeletal: Receive more damage from blunt weapons, but slashing weapons do slightly less damage and piercing weapons deal significantly less damage and may be dodged altogheder.
>Undead: Not affected by poisons and other things that would harm living creatures. Weak to holy magic, and can be exorcised by priests.
>Fear aura : You naturally generate a fear aura, generating fear in the beings around you. You can turn it off, or expand mana to strengthen it.
>Abnormality from Another Plane: If Dahak rolls a [1] or a [6], rolls from anything close to Dahak will get reduced or increased by 1.
-If a [1] is decreased by 1, it will become a [6], if a [6] is increased by 1, it will become a [1].
-another unaffected roll will be done by the GM, to determine what will appear or happen because of Dahak connection...
>REROLLED TRAIT Corruptor core = Grand Core: Dahak's core has grown and shifted. Its no longer corrupted, and has actualy grown resistant to the influence of the corruptor world and other forms of mind altering magic. This doesn't mean Dahak can't be corrupted again, it only means he's a fair bit harder to corrupt then before.
Gained trait: Fear incarnate => Dahak aura is now contagious. Enemies attacking Dahak have a change of being stricken with fear, and Dahak's physical attacks can also strike fear. This can have multiple effects depending on who or what is affected. Rolls caused by this trait don't trigger abnormality from another plane (since its not Dahak himself thats causing the rolls, but the enemy that gets affected by fear).
Skills :
>Spook: Causes fear, may paralyze enemies. Doesn't work on mindless creatures.
>Feel the Fear : you can convert the fear of your victims into physical pain. Extreme fear will probably cause cardiac arrest.
>Feral Otherworldly Aura : When activated, Dahak's aura will twists into a random shape and performs an attack to a single or multiple enemies depending on what form it assumes. Activating this ability will cost MP and HP, and will drain HP and MP. Killing an enemy with this ability will recover some HP and MP.
Gained Skill: Weaponized aura => Dahak can merge with his aura to join his Int and Pow stats with his Str and Con stats, greatly increasing his combat prowess and toughness, but consumes mana every turn while its active. The aura can envelop Dahak like armor or be used like a weapon while its active. Feral Otherwordly Aura can't be used while this is active, but slain enemies return a small amount of HP or MP.
Transformation Success Roll : [3]
Like a pressurized hot pot, you feel your body shaking wildly from the wild and eldritch energies contained within. With random and savage shifting, your bones are cracking and forming, retracting and rising.
And then it stops for a moment. The calm before the storm.
What follows next in term of bone morphing is at least a rank beyond what happened seconds earlier.
From every possible bones of your body grow -or more accurately emerge- osseous tissue in such large amounts you could call this a bonesplosion. Then all this excess tissue fills your rib gaps, cover your joints and coat your limbs, massively increasing your overall body size.
But your skull isn't the only one affected by the change. Your faithful wraith cloth and the otherworldly aura now seems to move independently, as if living.
During the whole transformation, you can't but says "Woah woah woah !" in a surprised manner.
You gained +8MP, +4HP, +1INT and +1POW
You lost the trait Corruptor Core
You acquired the trait Grand Core instead
You acquired the trait Fear Incarnate
You acquired the skill Weaponized Aura
Corruptor Core Expansion decreased by 20
"My, really, what a sight to behold. I can feel the pillar of my soul shaking in face of your new powers." notes Nihil with pure honesty.
"Feeling better now ? Is your mind clearer ? Let me talk about my purpose, it won't be long as the whole story is rather simple."
Nihil sits on a nearby rock, sitting in a refined manner. You finally put your finger on the main difference between his past and present tones : he seems more gentlemanly now.
"I had two goals when I arrived in this world. The first was to stabilize a gateway for the main force and open more of them. You Dahak, were instrumental in opening more gateway : you are like a fault in the veil separating our world."
"Suffice to say I failed big time in stabilizing the gateway."
"Now. For my second role. The role of the messenger, the unifier. I had to reunite with the pockets of "Corruption", localized in various loci around the world."
"Wait, that's new to me too ! I thought I got access to your memories when I became your anchor !" exclaims Delinde.
You want to chuckle at Delinde's statement. Of course she only got access to incomplete memories, how evident. Though you refrain to do so as what Nihil is saying aught your attention. What does he means about pockets of corruption ? You ask him this question.
"I was incomplete at the time. And to answer you Dahak, you weren't the first being of this world to fail some connection with another plane and connect to our instead. Many tried before, many failed too. And we came here, waging an unseen war against the world and its guardians. So don't worry, you are no more harbinger of doom than the past ones. Though you did manage to succeed were other failed : surviving and managing to open a communication duct between our two worlds."
He points at himself in the process. Both Delinde and you eye him very suspiciously, a tad menacingly even.
"Now now, worry not, those were my old goals. Anyway, with a greater scope of the situation, I have something different in mind. And what about you Delinde dear ? I reckon you have some new goal in mind ?"
Delinde says silent for a moment. She then answers rather frankly :
"New goal is a bit of an exaggeration. I just have a new role now, it won't make me stop follow Dahak so easily. I just have to forcefully guide some unwilling souls to the spirit world, and harvest dormant undead energy at some unbalanced places."
They are rather talkative you think to yourself. They now both look at you, it feels like they are asking "Do you have a new goal too/perhaps ?". Is this some kind of weird confessional ?

Caedan the Bloody ImpalerCaedan's face turns into an intense frown.
"Get off me!"
Try to throw them off again. Failing that, boil them away. Failing that, piledrive them all into the ground. If they're still moving, it's impalement time. Turn into mist for a moment. Then continue my leisurely trek to the village.
Your bottled frustration begins overflowing, and you prepare to unleash your wrath on them when a sudden flash of lucidity appears in your mind.
You just turn into mist form, and *poof*, the sticky undead fall on the ground in a distant muffled sound.
You lose 2MP
You turn back into corporeal form to save your energy.
Mana Regen roll : 1d6 [2]
You recover 2MP
[1] You finally fly free of these loads toward the supposed village. This is still night time, so you shouldn't worry about being detected by humans. Then finally, you see some lights in the distance, clearly from the settlement you are heading toward. You should be there soon enough.
So you keep flying at a quick but leisurely pace, eager to interact with humans again. The closer you get, the brighter the fires seem. It's too bright, is there some kind of festival in this village ?
And after getting close enough to see the houses and the roofs, you notice the whole village is actually burning. The wind is carrying a faint but vivid smell of blood.
What is happening there ?

You gain 2 essences
Bargar roll : [6]
Having felt one of his blow connected with something for once, Bargar strikes with full force at the clone he seems to be able to physically interact with.
With a strong sweeping movement with his arm, Bargar's blow sends the monster flying far across the lair, and it ends up crashing on you.
[5] You skillfully dodge the large living projectile coming in your direction, and even take this opportunity to rip this one's throat out.
You gain 2 essences
You feel alive in the midst of this battle.
Barak roll : [4] vs [5]
Barak enters a melee with the remaining monster, roaring menacingly and body slamming into his enemy. The brown-fur monster is thrown backward by the impact, but in an impressive display of agility and reflexes, he soften the damages by landing on all four. Then he jumps back toward Barak who is caught in its momentum, and claws at his head. His already injured flesh is torn apart by the sharp claws, and Barak falls backward half-conscious and stunned.
Two quadrupedal monsters appear at the lair entrance.
Morale roll : [1]
This is too much, two of them are dead for what should have been an easy hunt. The two monsters refuse to help their comrade, as their leader is already dead. They flee immediately.

Traits:
Elder Vampire - Caedan is an elder vampire, and gains all advantages and disadvantages that come from being such a creature. He has matured enough as a vampire to be able to create thralls by feeding someone with his blood. Thralls are intensely loyal to their creator and become more physically capable due to their transformation. They do need to drink their master's blood every now and then, or they will perish. This also means that creating too many thralls may end up badly for the vampire, if he plans to keep them around. If the transformation into a thrall goes awry, it becomes much more like a monster and develops an intense craving for flesh
Night Vision - Caedan, as a vampire, sees perfectly well in the darkness. (unless all vampires come with this included, in which case replace this with Mesmerizing Eyes - Anyone staring too long into Caedan's eyes will sooner or later find themselves unable to resist his commands.)
Creature of the Night - Caedan becomes much stronger during the night, in addition to being harder to see.
Levitation - Caedan gains the ability to levitate and fly. Rather early for a vampire. Is it a sign of greatness? Or is it a mark of damnation?
Mesmerizing Eyes - Anyone who looks into Caedan's eyes for too long will end up unable to look away and become extremely vulnerable to suggestion, unable to resist most commands.
Skills:
Blood Metabolism - Drinking blood rejuvenates vampires.
Blood Boil - A spell that increases the victim's blood temperature to extremely high levels, effectively boiling/melting them alive.
Mist Form - Caedan can change into mist, allowing him to pass through things like barred windows and other such things. Changing into mist also lets him hide his presence in the right area, unless whoever he's hiding away from can detect him by magic or a different ability. He can also use it to nearly completely evade physical attacks.
Blood of the Impaler - This is the spell Caedan uses when he needs something dead so badly that he doesn't care if he spills blood. It creates a field of sharp spikes made of what looks to be crystallized blood. The spell is designed to be hard to dodge due to the sheer amount of spikes coming out of the ground. It also works pretty well against groups.
