Turn 58 : Everyone bar the Ashen
Glint the Arcanivore and Gray the MetaldeeHang back, heal, recover mana, and go grab my share of the essence if the humans leave.
"It's alright, Brown. We won't have to worry about things like that once we get bigger and stronger."
Wait until the humans leave, then go grab some of the essence with Brown.
[3] You stay away for a bit, focusing on recovering your forces. Thanks to your Regenerative Core, your body fully heal, but you are still a bit short in mana.
You recover 3HP
You recover 5MP
"I am so useless..." whine Tirim, looking desperately at Vagush.
On Gray side, Brown says reassured :
"Thanks Gray, I hope we will soon get bigger !"
Vagush roll : [6]
The poison's effects wear off in Vagush body, freeing him from his paralysis. But in the process, his arms reflexively flail dangerously around !
[3] Everyone who was close enough leap back, only being grazed by the powerful arms.
"Illusion ?" : [1] ((oops))
The humans arrive in front of the place where Gray seemed to notice some kind of mirage. And suddenly, the sand begins shifting around abnormally. It was not an illusion.
An immense batoid-like monster with a gaping front maw emerges from the sand and charges at the surprised humans. It launches its long tongue toward the group, catching a sand manta and dragging it inside its mouth. In one bite, the mount is gobbled down.
Humans roll : [6]
The valid humans fire a salvo of crossbow bolts at the batoid, piercing its hard skin. But it only seems to anger the monster, whose angered roar makes all of them tremble in fear.

You lose 8MP
The dangerously red beam of energy seems to be double the size than usual, and glows with an even fiercer light. You fire in the creatures face, melting the rocky carapace and carving its features away. The creature's face is now unrecognizable, and it is now with no doubt blind.
It is bleeding molten rock because of internal and external injuries.
Monster roll : [3]
Despite being blinded, the turtle-like creature breath a stream of lava in a random direction. You don't even have to put much effort into dodging it.

Dahak the Uncanny Unreasonably Spooky Scary Skeleton((WAT))
Dahak spends a few seconds in complete awkward silence observing the aftermath of his plan. Somehow, he feels he has accidentaly flipped the metaphorical table holding the methaphorical plates representing every probability involving this event, with said table now resting on its top side, and each plate ended up carefuly balanced on each of the table's legs.
Its like he was so unlucky that he made a full circle and ended up being extremely lucky.
He also feels he should tone down on the elaborate metaphors.
... You know what, I'm ok with this. At this rate, I feel that if I tried to flip a table, said table would flip me instead.
┬─┬ ︵ /(.□. \)~why
Dahak takes a minute to assess the situation. While things didn't turn out the way he wanted, he dares to think it may be better this way. Dahak admits to himself that, even if his original plan had worked, it could've had other, unpredictable results. He knows he's dealing with otherwordly beings and energies here, its basically impossible to predict every possibility, though he didn't really have a choice at the time.
Dahak slowly nods as he watches over the two immobile large blobs in front of him.
Dire situations demand dire attitudes. But what about you guys?
Indeed, what about them? Dahak can sense that the otherwordly presence is gone, and that the only focus of corruption nearby comes from his own core. Also, he can still few Delinde's and Nihil's presence, so they must still be ok, maybe? The consequences of this are tremendous and unprecedent, though. Dahak realizes that he may have just partially accidentaly created entirely unique entities by taking stuff from the corruptor world which was given sentience by contact with a creature from this world and then eliminating any traces from the corruption dimension while at the same time giving it a body made from otherwordly stuff.
While his wizard self is titilating with the prospect of studying this phenomena, he can't help but to be worried about both of them. What of Delinde? She was already pretty weird, what coult this entail for her?
Dahak only hopes they don't feel like slapping him after all this. But hey, seems like he did pretty well, all things considered. He strikes a commemorative heroic pose in his own honour.
Observe the two large blobs while keeping an eye out for anything else. Try to rest a bit, too, you might need your mana to protect those two while they have their beauty sleep.
[1] You try to rest, but there is something in the air preventing you from staying calm. It must be the sudden release of corruptor presence around that is disturbing you. It feels like your other core part is absorbing the corrupted air around you.
Corruptor Core Expansion increases by 10
As you observe the two blobs, you notice one of them is shifting a tad faster than the other. A humanoid form can be distinguished through the bubbling mass, it is on its knees. Slowly, the remaining black goo is absorbed by the humanoid, revealing in order an elegant silhouette, followed by a stream of silver hairs.
You realize this is Delinde, but something is off : how come she is now taller ? It's like if a teenager suddenly gained 10 years.
Her pale body is at first fully naked, allowing you to notice strange black markings you are sure weren't there before. Then Delinde's usual clothes materialize around her, at the right size of course.
You then take a look at the blob that must be Nihil. It undergoes basically the same changes as Delinde, except his appearance doesn't change a bit.
They both have the same reaction : they seem to marvel at their new body, even in the case of Nihil despite being no apparent change.
"It's a miracle..." mutters Delinde. She then turns toward you with a really angry look. Her gaze is as sharp as a knife.
"You realize you nearly got us totally absorbed ?"
Nihil speaks up, with a voice you never heard before. A calm and deep voice.
"Don't blame him, he couldn't know the body would react so violently. I'm sure he had the best intentions at heart."
Through the speech of Nihil, you feel something changed fundamentally inside him. He seems complete.
Furthermore, both of them seems a lot stronger than before, maybe even stronger than you.
You ask them what happened in the body. Delinde is the first to answer, still with her tone full of reproach.
"There is a lot to say about what happened. But to summarize, when we got absorbed we had some kind of soul struggle, battling to keep our individuality intact. In the end we won over the body and absorbed all of its power."
"And with my returned powers, I retrieved my memories. Amongst them my old purpose, and your purpose Dahak."
Delinde has become a Kir of Thanatos ((Inspired from the ancient greek "Ker", which means "goddess of death" according to wikipedia))
Nihil has become an Expletus Corruptor ((lat. for "Complete/Fulfilled Corruptor". Yes, "corruptor" is "corruptor" in latin))
[6] He turns toward you and being approaching you. His featureless face preventing you to decipher his intent.
"This is my gift of gratitude."
A hand forms on his right arm, which he uses to grab something inside of him. From his torso, he pulls out a pulsating orb of golden energy tainted with black currents. You feel this is essence, but something isn't right with it.
You are gently pushing the orb away, declining politely the gift, but the gift doesn't agree with that.
The orb breaks down into multiple streams which dive into your core. You feel both the warmth of essence and the dreadful coldness of corruption filling your core.
You gain 6 essences. You can transform.
Corruptor Core Expansions increases by 20.
Nihil doesn't appear surprised at all.
"Oh, oops. I should have expected that."
You perceive this as a way to satisfy his small grudge over the previous incident.

Durst the Rock Seer"Whoever you are, you have just made an enemy. I may be meek and powerless compared to the strength you possess, but I have one powerful quality. Patience. I will destroy you, good sir, if it takes thousands of years. Like a rock, I can withhold years of torment.
Now, allow us to commence battle."
Read the mana within him. Understand what he will do before he does it. Use this knowledge to dodge his attacks. Then, attempt to formulate a basic magic counterattack.
"So weaklings can speak" he sneers. "Years ? I can end you in an instant. Value your place."
He is definitely not seeing you as an opponent, more like a mere annoyance.
[4] Your read the mana within him.
It is powerful and lively, with a hint of new patterns you have never seen before.
You manage to have a rough estimation of its power : you have read stronger mana back in Coridem, but you can tell he is way out of your league.
What he is going to do is easy to read. He isn’t even trying to hide it as he doesn’t see you as a threat. His flow is changing aggressively, an attack is coming at your direction.
Purple demon roll: [5]
"Out of the way vermin !"
Purple demonic energy can be seen gathering in a violent and bustling orb in the space between its two horns. Having felt the attack beforehand, you hide yourself behind a conveniently placed rock.
An intense large beam sweep through the battlefield, hitting foes and allies without distinction. Where the beam passed, the ground detonates in a devastating explosion a second later.
The powerful blast expels all the cloud dust away, revealing the molten area and the corpses of more than twenty sand sharks and weaker demons.
Mold-Tooth survival roll because GM got attached to him : [4]
Mold-Tooth, the sand shark that carried you for the whole trip got protected by the corpses of a dead comrade, allowing him to escape alive from the attack.
You notice a strange phenomenon. A yellow energy seems to be escaping from the body of the dead monsters, sharks and demons alike. The golden substance is suddenly drawn to a strange orb the purple demon just drew out of his pouch.
Overall battle roll : [3] vs [6]
The dust clouds out of the way, you finally get a better view of the battle. The demons outnumber the sand sharks, but the latter are stronger individually. As a result, both forces are fighting on even ground.
That is, until the purple demon unleashed his destructive beam of energy. Even though he mercillessly sacrificed some his own soldiers, he tore a huge hole in the sharks defense.
The land demons took advantage of this breach to push their assault, while the flying ones are continuing to harass from the air.

Multiple illusion doubles of your assaillants appear in the cave, confusing you over who are the real ones. Your opponents doesn't seem disturbed by this, as their keen sense of smell told them the sudden clones were just illusions.
[5] vs [2] Silly you, you have infravision ! You know which ones are the real ones of course.
You shred furiously at the gray monster, who fails to dodge your attack. Aiming at his front legs joints, you shred its tendons and render his two front legs barely usable.
Bargar roll : [2]
Upon fully waking up, Bargar is assailed by a dozen of illusionary monsters. Suffice to say he freaks out and flails his claws wildly around, trying to combat the enemy in his mind.
Barak vs Brown monsters : [5] vs [4, 6]
The sharp pain in his eye brings Barak back to reality.
"Get off me !" he shouts, his tattoos glowing brightly.
A burst of wild energy explode from Barak body, expelling his enemies away from him.
But the agile monsters manage to escape unharmed from this, landing with grace on the ground. Except for one of them who lands next to the crazed Bargar, and get a taste of his strong forearm in the rib.
The gray monster roars peculiarly, like calling for something. You hear steps coming from outside.

[2, 6] vs [5] Despite being surprised by the sudden aggression by his own kin, the huge feathered creature doesn't hesitate sweeping its tail at them to protect itself. The first creature misses its target completely and get hit with full force by the tail. The second one manages to wound the big creature, only to set itself straight in the path of the tail.
They are both thrown down, and begin losing control of their own flight.
[6] You attempt to manipulate the mind of the large monster while the two smaller ones are serving as convenient distractions. You realize while attempting this that doing so while mind controlling two other creatures take quite a toll on your mind.

Astrosa didn't wait a second to give her attacker its just desserts, and by looking at her crazy face smiling with fury, you understand she activated her skill Strength in Suffering and/or Bloodlust Madness.
As a result she begins totally disregarding her wounds, and only cares about stabbing the object of her rage to death.

Traits:
Elder Vampire - Caedan is an elder vampire, and gains all advantages and disadvantages that come from being such a creature. He has matured enough as a vampire to be able to create thralls by feeding someone with his blood. Thralls are intensely loyal to their creator and become more physically capable due to their transformation. They do need to drink their master's blood every now and then, or they will perish. This also means that creating too many thralls may end up badly for the vampire, if he plans to keep them around. If the transformation into a thrall goes awry, it becomes much more like a monster and develops an intense craving for flesh
Night Vision - Caedan, as a vampire, sees perfectly well in the darkness. (unless all vampires come with this included, in which case replace this with Mesmerizing Eyes - Anyone staring too long into Caedan's eyes will sooner or later find themselves unable to resist his commands.)
Creature of the Night - Caedan becomes much stronger during the night, in addition to being harder to see.
Levitation - Caedan gains the ability to levitate and fly. Rather early for a vampire. Is it a sign of greatness? Or is it a mark of damnation?
Mesmerizing Eyes - Anyone who looks into Caedan's eyes for too long will end up unable to look away and become extremely vulnerable to suggestion, unable to resist most commands.
Skills:
Blood Metabolism - Drinking blood rejuvenates vampires.
Blood Boil - A spell that increases the victim's blood temperature to extremely high levels, effectively boiling/melting them alive.
Mist Form - Caedan can change into mist, allowing him to pass through things like barred windows and other such things. Changing into mist also lets him hide his presence in the right area, unless whoever he's hiding away from can detect him by magic or a different ability. He can also use it to nearly completely evade physical attacks.
Blood of the Impaler - This is the spell Caedan uses when he needs something dead so badly that he doesn't care if he spills blood. It creates a field of sharp spikes made of what looks to be crystallized blood. The spell is designed to be hard to dodge due to the sheer amount of spikes coming out of the ground. It also works pretty well against groups.
