First off, a note: This is not another continuation off of
Katawa Shoujo Gaiden. Because at that point it’d be far enough in the future that we could not reasonably predict it. It’s a reboot. Second, this was not my idea, it was Adragis’ and they asked me to co-GM. So, with that out of the way, let’s get to the point.
This is a game based in the setting of the visual novel
Katawa Shoujo, as the name implies. It is set at Yamaku High School for disabled children, somewhere in northern Japan.. Every student- and some of the teachers- have some crippling disability that keeps them from attending a normal school. So guess who the players are.
Is anyone interested? If so, character sheet below. Let’s assume one character per person for now, Adragis might decide to allow two per person.
Name: I hope I don’t have to explain this.
Gender: Are you a guy or a girl? Or neither? This does not necessarily need to be the same as what’s in your pants.
Age: How old are you? Also add their year. Your characters will be just entering the school; so most likely they're freshman, if they don't have some reason they came late.
Description: Appearance.
Disability(ies) (yes it's required): This has to be actually debilitating. No light asthma here, unless there are other much more crippling disabilities with it.
Clubs: Extracurriculars. There aren’t any at the start, they’ll be joined early on and you’ll have to edit your sheet. Unless you intend on starting one, in which case feel free to fill it in.
Other: Anything else? Backstory, personality, the like. You don’t actually have to be from Japan, as long as you can think of a reason your character is attending the school and can speak Japanese.
Name: Makoto Kayaba
Gender: Male
Age 17. Senior.
Description: A shorter teen, at about 5’5”. He has shoulder length brown and dark colored eyes. In regards to features, he’s somewhat attractive… if he was female. Because he looks, in regards to facial features, like a girl.
Disability(ies) (yes it's required): He has severe breathing problems. If he doesn’t take his medication every four hours, he will slowly lose his ability to breathe. He has a machine to do this for him while he sleeps next to his bed. Even with the medication, any strenuous- even mildly so- activity will make breathing difficult.
Clubs: Student Council (the president).
Other: He’s the sort of person who doesn’t study whatsoever, and yet aces their classes. Some less academically inclined people find this annoying. He also is extremely into video games.
