So I got the option to play as a elephant man on my save its great but while punching things and watching them explode is fun no armor fits me so I was wondering if there was any way to get armor that fits?

Make it in a fortress. Send elephant man round to collect.

But wont the armor be made for a dwarf and that is way to small for my character to equip he cant even wear human sized armor

There's a key you can press when making armor that lets you create ones sized for whatever species you choose. I forget what it was though.

'D' I think. Or maybe 'd'. It's marked 'details' at the workshop.
In 42.x you can make armour fitted for any race you like to accomodate non-dwarf citizens.
