Presumably no counter-claims? Only person yet to post is Tiruin.

Quote from: Silthuri
Let us dissect this lovely little BS you've presented.
Same to you!

Quote
Uh-huh... so you're saying that you personally think this is a scum gambit, yes?
No, I personally know that this is a scum gambit, because I know I'm town. Nobody else (except you and your scumbuddy) knows that; that's why I'm responding to this stuff.

Quote
I've been scum before, bud. I'm better at scum than town. Scum just has to lay low and gently nudge the town in the wrong direction. LYLO is hard to come back from. Why in tarnation would I start this crap, just because someone's demanding why I didn't post, when can easily use the above reasons?
I already said why, I think: Because you're a mafioso, you cannot truly contribute to this game, and you're apparently not a good enough player to fake it. To link this to your question more directly: If you continued to do nothing, you would get lynched; look at what happened to ATH. So you did this!

Quote
ATH was a distraction. I know who one scum is, but not the other. I was hoping that the other scum could be found and I could last longer and be able to investigate. Admittedly, I'm an idiot and didn't use my second investigate, but that's why I did nothing to stop ATH from being lynched. I didn't know he was positively town, or I would have done something if I'd had the time to get in here and post.
This almost makes sense, except for one thing: Throughout D2, you pretty much lurked; since you didn't take the time to build up proper reads/cases, your inspect wasn't much better than a crapshoot. You were throwing away a guaranteed scum lynch in exchange for a (okay, I'm too lazy to do the math here, but it's probably 1/3) chance of catching scum.

Quote
That's cute. I'm claiming cop because I have a metric ton of shit to deal with IRL? You stink of OMGUS.
lol what

No, seriously, what? OMGUS is about voting, not fakeclaiming Cop*. If someone fakeclaims Cop, they are almost certainly scum. I know that you're fakeclaiming, so I have literally no reason not to vote you. This is not OMGUS.

As for the rest of the line: I was actually unaware that you were so busy, and your playstyle seemed pretty lurk-y. Also, even if you're busy, you need to contribute something; if you're so busy that you can't contribute anything at all, you should replace out. It's as simple as that.

Quote
Are you claiming this is a reason for me being scum? Forgetting that it's a jailor and not a doctor? It was a mistake, yes. But how does it apply to making me scum? You're scrounging for things now.
Your entire future night strategy is based on a mistake. From a neutral standpoint, a mistake is possible, but you can't honestly argue that it's not suspicious enough to be worth pointing out.

Quote
Awww... are you the cop now? How are you so sure?
Why would a town player fake a scum inspect on me at LYLO? I can't think of any possible reason, so I'm assuming it's not what's happening.

Quote
Why should town believe you over me?
Because of the points I laid out, which are better than the points you laid out; seriously, three of your points (including this one) revolve around basic logical errors.

*To be fair, it's not exclusive to voting; voting someone merely because they FOS'd you, attacked you, or asked a question would be OMGUS. Even so, I'm pretty sure voting for a guaranteed mafioso (and yes, I know you're not a guaranteed mafioso from a neutral perspective; you're one from my perspective, and it's my vote) is not OMGUS.

I'll try to get another post out today, but no promises. I will not post at all tomorrow, unless I have a sudden windfall of free time.

Uh, remember that "sudden windfall of free time" I mentioned in my last post? It, well, fell; I've gone from two tests and a PowerPoint presentation to one test, and it's the easy test.

So, yeah. I'll be around today.

I don't see what about it was hard to follow, and, even if it is a bit confusing, it doesn't fall under WIFOM.

WIFOM is about overthinking mindgames and different possibilities; I only presented one possibility.

I don't understand what was hard to follow about EP's post.  It made plenty of sense to me.  This is all starting to feel like you're intentionally muddying the water, Silthuri.

Quote from: definition directly from op
WIFOM - Wine In Front Of Me, the circular reasoning that results from trying to determine the choices of an opponent who acted with full knowledge that his behavior would be subject to scrutiny.

Where is this "hard to follow" shit coming from? WIFOM includes circular reasoning such as EP claiming that I claimed cop because I'm useless as a Mafioso. This reasoning seems more like muddying the water than my claiming WIFOM on something that goes along with the definition.

Pfp from in class. Will hopefully have more time to explain later.

Just looked at my wording. That was worded way wrong. I was the one to mention hard to follow. But y'all are still nitpicking as far as I'm concerned.

So how should you have worded it?  I don't think this is nitpicking, I think it's the heart of the entire matter.  We're trying to find scum, and you're acting scummy.

I should have gone more with "faulty logic" or something similar. The nitpicking, mainly from you, includes the fact that you're voting for me because I'm "muddying the waters" What else would you have me do? I am defending myself. I'm failing at it, but if I may, this is the first time I've been under pressure in mafia for decisions I've made.

Also, pfp and going off of 2 hours of sleep. Excuse my stupidity.

As far as I'm concerned, you should be defending yourself.  That's a perfectly acceptable response, and I'm not voting because you're doing it.  I'm voting you because your defense hasn't convinced me, and has, in fact, made me think that you're scum attempting some kind of LYLO gambit.  I don't understand how the timing could look like anything else.

@ bold: I've explained this, I'm fairly certain. I claimed at LYLO because we cannot afford to not lynch scum. If I didn't claim, there was a higher chance we would lynch a townie. I knew there was a high chance for me to die, but my death is worth telling who the scum are and giving you guys another day to try to figure this stuff out. And also perhaps my death would mean more by who was most avidly targeting me for the worst reasons. *wink wink*

How is this an impossible situation? It obviously is legitimate because that's what's happening!

Right, but you could have prevented at least one of the previous town lynches (and gotten scum killed instead!) had you informed us earlier.  Claiming now just looks like an attempt to spew heaps of WIFOM around the place until town isn't sure of anything.  That, to my eyes, is a scum tactic and a half.
