Each individual who looks underneath their chair finds a key, and some head over to the door.  However, there are two slight problems to be found.  First, the door does not have a place to use a key on it.  Fortunately, there is a slot for a key next to it.  Unfortunately, the slot is not shaped to accept a key, but instead to accept a smaller version of the copier box.

A low sound of snakes going through pipes makes itself evident within the room, though only a few individuals hear it...

Lyriel doesn't listen to him, focused on her task of getting out.

Look for the key under the chair, and attempt to unlock the box with it.

Both Lyriel and Romaygus attempt to utilize their lever lock type keys by inserting the bit and pin end into the lock upon the box.  Neither key is able to engage to unlock the lock.  They do take note that the lock is a bit strange, the opening having an extension of equal length above and below where the shaft of the key would fit.

The sound of snakes moving continues to grow.

Nathanial's voice, despite its conversationalness, betrays no small amount of tension and his eyes scan the room, looking for places for snakes to emerge.

The rest of the keys are attempted in the exact same manner as the prior two keys.  None of them engage the lock.

A snake drops down on the opposing side of the room to the door.  Some venom that dripped from its fangs burns into the floor.  While this one is fairly docile, more aggressive specimens  may come soon...
