Can we order a taskforce to go slower than intended? i.e. if I have a speed 7 task force, can I order it to slow down to speed 5?

You can do it setting up the taskforce distribution. Not when dealing out the tactics.

Just as a note, my orders and ship specifications have been edited in to my previous post in the IC thread. Ship specs may be liable to modification, though.

I would ask why fire can burn two men to death without getting hot enough to burn a book, but then I read "INEXTINGUISHABLE RUNNING KAMIKAZE RADIOACTIVE FLAMING ZOMBIE" and realized that logic, reason, and physics are all occupied with crying in the corner right now.

Any ETA on my information?

Also, some more questions:
How is damage divided after an attack? Is the damage distributed evenly across all ships?
If task forces don't shoot back when attacked, how do you decide if an engagement is a win? What determines which fleet will be forced to retreat?
How does a battle of the line work? Does it just turn both fleets into two big taskforces that deal damage to each other?

Even distribution, unless noted otherwise.

I can't believe I managed to screw myself there. Originally the system was supposed to have back and forth shots, and this is an element of that which was left as I changed stuff.

I'll come back to this later.

Edit: I think I did all the things.
Edit 2: For now, I'm going to return to the older system, where ships do shoot back. I'll tweak it later.

Disagreements with the game system mostly, no offense but i dislike the mechanics..they are well thought out and everything but i can't personally get engaged with them. so yeah.

Sorry for dropping out midgame, i hope you get somebody else in there quickly :I
