@Stirk

I thought I was part of your group, a messenger for the weapons sent by the boss.

You didn't have a backstory. I had just assumed you where a random hobo  :P. We really didn't get a lot of background on what is happening, all we know is that a plane is coming with a shipment of weapons. As a weapon dealer, that is *probably* meant for me. The GM doesn't seem to have intended you to be the client (and I didn't either), since we have no clue who you are or who you work for or why you would need a shipment of weapons. It is safe to assume then, that the GM plans for the weapon shipment to be meant for a different client who he already had in mind.

Well yes. Since the backstories didn't have much in common I just kinda put you in the same room, hoping that the three people not connected to our shady weapon dealer and his bodyguard wouldn't question too much how they got there. The shipment is coming in for Stirk, who can then do with it as he pleases. None of you have seen the three other guys either.

You can totally change up how your characters are related if you want to, we're just starting out and I'm absolutely horrible at starting out my games.

Nah, I'll just be some crazy hobo, imagining that he's some secret agent 007 guy. That sounds like fun to me.

Current backstory: Doesn't know who he really is, but thinks he's some secret agent guy. After seeing a trio of guys walks in, he assumes you're also secret agents, so he just worms in and tries to blend in and try to do business. This obviously makes him look crazy.

Begin looking to see if they have electronics if so try and hack them.
You'll have to be more specific than just "hack them". Most of these things have many functions. As for devices, there's the guy with the laptop, the robotic reception lady, a small security robot that's currently in standby mode. Ken and one of the three newcomers also have augmented eyes you could mess with. Every person in the room also has their braincase, but hacking into one of those is pretty darn difficult.

If Yurie pulls off a Laughing Man, Ken's calling the ghost busters  >:(.

Also, ATH, when someone has posted after you responding to your post, it is generally best to make a new post with new content rather than just editing the old one. Nobody can see it otherwise :/.

Um, did you throw this through a machine translator or something? At the very least the second suddenly suddenly jumps between somewhat formal (though broken) language into sudden slang.
I did. Though my mother tongue is Dutch, Afrikaans is mostly foreign to me. There's obviously some overlap, but the grammar/social rules are lost on me.

A suggestion then:

"Ja man, die vliegtuig is vertraag. Dit sal langer vat voor ons die shit het."

((Also, as an Afrikaans speaker I feel much the same about Dutch. Like I can understand 65-80% of everything, but there's a lot of stuff that's different.

Can even read dutch books, but it's painful.))

I feel you. There's so much overlap between words that do mean the same thing that the relatively small differences just complete screw with the meaning of the sentences. Like, with the corrected sentence you gave me, the first part is perfectly logical for me. The second part though? Headache inducing, because I know all of those words but they either have a different meaning or make no sense to me gramatically.

It's still incredibly fun for me to listen to afrikaans, though. The afrika missions in metal gear 5 were hilarious for me, I even turned off the subtitles for those.

Umm, I took a couple years of Spanish... that I forgot... yeah.
I'm the same way with French. I still understand it pretty well, but when I need to speak it myself it's a goddamn disaster.

"Ah, just what I was waiting to hear. I was hoping to be able to take those augments..."

If the rest of the team also decides to attack, sneak up behind the leader, put him in a chokehold, and violently squeeze his neck to kill him.

But-I'm the leader! How quickly you betrayed us! Will this maniac's hunger for PC ever fulfilled?  :P
