((This is basically the updated version of The Fall of Man, which is still running, but now you all can make the character and choose skills and all that.))

The Great Wars have brought humanity to itīs knees before but never so close to the verge as it has now. This is the final hour of humanity and civilization as we know it. WMDs were meant to be off limits for warfare, that didn't stop anyone from making them. Now when one nation implemented itīs devastating device on the world they set in motion the end.

Now entire nations crumble to the ground, masses riot in the streets, Sky Cities collapse causing earthquakes all on their own, satellites fall from the sky, and chaos reigns.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm interested. Also, should I include personality traits in the description as well?

-100 years after-
-North Sky Ruins-
-The Republic of Volkov-

You are Ferrous Clint, the great-grandchild of one of the survivors of the Great Tragedy. You know that your family originates from farther south but a generation after the tragedy they moved north for scavenging opportunities.

Your family has been well versed in teaching a broad field of skills to their children, and while you were reluctant to learn you did learn.

In the past couple years you have been given a building in the family's trade hub to call your own and have been put in place of your own responsibilities. You know that the trade hub that your family established is within the borders of the recently established Volkov republic, an organization of trading centers, small towns, and other "civilized" survivors.

Today is just another day, your jobs mostly consist of well really whatever chore you decide to do. Your family has accepted your ever so slight recluse nature and allowed you to pick small odd jobs instead of a full position that would involve much more socializing.

It is early spring but the air is still bitter cold, or at least when the wind blows and numbs your exposed skin. The trees are growing back their leaves and more traffic is coming through the city. Your father has asked you to go into a section of the ruins that hasn't been explored yet, he thinks there may be something special hidden in the ruins. He has asked you to look for any technology in the section.

You find yourself searching through heaps of rubble in an unknown place with the wind piercing your thin patchy coat. Something feels off but you can't put your finger on it.

What do you do?

{20-2=18}
[12 /= 18]
[15 /= 18]
[16]

You sniff the wind and smell something foreign. Its not the same sulfur and smoke smell of the ruins, its different and distinct.

Looking up from the ground you see several figures in the distance moving along a ruble cliff. They seem to be headed in a specific direction but havenīt noticed you yet. They are armed with large guns, most likely rifles or full sized shot guns. Two of them have some strange headgear on like metal helmets with metal rods on top.

Move stealthily, while keeping a close eye on their progress, behind a wall that blocks the cliff from view. If they haven't noticed me they probably won't notice me once I'm in cover.

Once there, resume sifting.

{20-2 = 18}
[14+2 ((forgot to add +2 to roll last turn but outcome of turn would have been the same))= 16, 16 /= 18]
[9+2=11, 11/=18]
[11+2= 13]

You are able to get within 30 feet of the group when you stumble on loose rubble. You are able to catch yourself and move behind a wall before they see you but you can hear them talking.
ĻWhat was that?Ļ
ĻThis area is supposed to be emptyĻ
ĻI donīt know, just look for whatever it isĻ

They disperse and you can hear them all moving around but canīt see any of them as you are behind a wall.

What do you do?

"Damn, we're in a tight spot."

Grab some small rubble and pocket it. Peek around the corner. I try to remain hidden, as they have guns and probably have no qualms with killing me.

{20-2 = 18}
[6+2= 8, 8 /= 18]
[9+2= 11, 11/= 18]
[18+2= 20]

Peeking around the corner you get a good look at where they all are without a single one hearing or seeing you.
You count five of them in total, two are around the wall to the right, two separated searching rubble to your left, and the fifth is standing just ahead of the wall standing where they all split off from.

You get a strange feeling, the hairs on your neck stand up. Something is behind you, you donīt know how you know but you know that something or someone is standing behind you.

What do you do?
