{20-2=18}
[3+2=5, 5/=18]
[7+2=9, 9/=18]
[10]

You slowly turn around, the bayonet of a long rifle nearly cuts your cheek.
The figure holding the rifle is wearing a dark grey metallic helmet with small electronic peaces on the exterior and a black cover over the face.

For a moment you both stand there silent then the figure speaks up in a hushed, distorted voice (the voices earlier may have sounded like this but the distance between you and them was enough to make the distortion negligible),¨Who are you? No one should be in this area¨.

They wait for a reply, bayonet still right next to your face.

What do you do?

[11+2=13, 13/=18]
[16+2=18, 18==18]

Your response is enough to calm them. The bayonet lowers but they still stand ready.

¨Clint you say? Like the traders out in the reclaimed part of these ruins?..¨. They scan around seeing that everyone else is still searching, then look at you, studying you,¨Yes, you must be¨.

There is more silence, the steps of the others in the distance still looking, then they speak up again,¨I think you might be able to help me, why are you really here? No way that I believe you´re scavving this part of the ruins, so why are you really here?¨

"Mostly clearing my head from the most recent fight with my family. After a while I got bored and began searching through the ruin for anything if any value. Your 'friends' over there startled me while I was picking through some junk over there. I ain't doing no one no harm. Now, is there anything you need me to do? Or am I going to be in some trouble here?

{20-2=18}
[4+2=6, 6/=18]
[7+2=9, 9/=18]
[6+2=8]

The bayonet is raised,¨While I don´t buy your story for one second I do need your help. I need you to help me get away from these people. The way I see it, if you don´t help me I will call them over and you will be shot with no questions asked, if you help me we could both benefit. You could bring your family more wealth and settle what disputes you have with them and I can go my own way, away from these people. Will you help me?¨

"Uh, sure. Just don't get me with that sticker and I'll help out as much as I can. So, you got a plan? Also, who are you and why are they looking for you? I know I'm in no position to inquire what with a giant detachable-rifle-blade in my face, but I still want to be on semi-equal footing here. At least, tell me your name."

"Yes sir! I'm going to draw my weapon now." ((Thanks. I didn't know I had anything yet.)) And with that, I draw that rifle. What calibre is it, by the way? Chamber a round. Softly.

((Not sure if I forgot to point it out but your inventory is attached to your character sheet on the OP, you have weapons. You can post a new response if you would like, sorry about that))

(We'll say 5.56)

"I would prefer to keep from killing them now. They are looking for a prewar bunker burried in these ruins. I wish to kill them in a sabotage of the integrity of the ceiling of the bunker. Kill them all in a freak accident rather than shoot them but if it comes to it you may need to use your rifle."

"Now I'm going to bring them back to the rally point. Tell them I saw an animal or something. You'll need to stay hidden. I want you to shadow us to the bunker, I'll take watch at the entrance, from there we can make more plans. Understood?"

"Indeed." Wait for Emmet to go, then follow a safe distance of lets say 50 feet behind.

{20-2=18}
[1+2=3, 3/=18]
[19+2=21, 21>=20]
[10+2+2=14]

They regather and begin walking away, you successfully sneak behind them.

You get a better look at them noticing they are all in a similar uniform of fatigues with metal plates draped over their torso, shins, knees, shoulders, and elbows. Their helmets seem to have a radio of some kind built in. You figure that the leader, the one who stood watch while the others searched, is the most heavily armed with what looks like an automatic high caliber rifle. The others are armed with similar bolt action rifles and bayonets.

After several minutes of walking the group halts, nothing seems out of the ordinary. One of the others who is holding a strange piece of equipment speaks up,¨This is the place¨. The leader walks up next to him, lifting a piece of rubble, another walks up and does something under the rubble.

The ground shakes as a sheet of rubble moves back opening into a stairway like an entrance to an old subway station. The group shares words and Emmett stands guard as the rest enter.

He doesn´t seem to know where you are but he is looking for you.
What do you do?
