Collapse?
« on: December 09, 2007, 12:15:00 pm »

So I just noticed that his Toadiness posted the new version, and he mentions this in the changelog:
quote:
Made veins and other rock types collapse downward properly

Does that mean my caverns will collapse again? I'd just try it out, but I am at work and they just don't understand how playing DF is neccasary... squares.

There was a bug reported in 33d that if a vein of minerals collapsed, the vein was removed and you were left with only plain rock.  I believe that the changelog means that this was fixed.

Don't you mean 'elves'?

I don't know yet, but I doubt it. I think he would have explained that if he'd made such a big change. I'll let you know when next I get the chance.

EDIT:
Nevermind. See above post.

So one would be able to effectively mine out ten floors of rock by mining out the bottom floor, channeling around the others and simply hauling away the ore once the dust sets? Awesome.
