Oili steps off the boat and after walking out a ways begins to stretch.

"Hmm. Wonder what happened to the crew."

Asmund vaulted off the longboat onto the shore, looking around.

Cynbel decides to go investigate, offering the others a chance to join before moving to get a closer look. If nothing else, gives him the opportunity to move about with a purpose.

[Solymr]

Lugus got off the boat and followed Cynbel to the wrecked ship.

How strange that this is so solitary...

The longboat proved to be only an illusion of a working vessel - in fact, the other side of the boat was stripped down of materiel. Someone must've used it to reinforce some other boat.

There was no sign of recent grave digging nor was there any visible human remains in the area.

The longboaters remained in thier ship, some deciding to take a nap now that they don't need to tired themselves down with oars.

"Well, we might as well stay the night, and set off again in the morn."

[Ochita]

"Seems smart, but for now, I'll think I'll take a walk, won't go far."

Go for a small exploratory walk, taking care to not get lost

Cynbel continued to inspect the ship, curious about it. What stories might it have been able to tell, once? People its carried, places its been? Its been stripped and torn, its pieces either being set free to the air by fire or sent on a continuation of a journey in piecemeal.

The Son of the Wild sees no reason to be any different, searching for a token to take from the ruined ship with him. While it may rest peacefully in a travelers home, it must yet yearn to venture forth. He shall give a piece of it that chance.

Oili goes to look for a pleasant enough place to sleep for the night.

[Haspen]

Oili found a small crevice between the trees filled with comfortable moss growing all over it. It was quite cozy.

Cynbel saw that there was a piece of timber painted red, no doubt a splinter from a shield adorning the longboat's side. But for a longboat to be shielded, it must've been some wealthy merchant's longboat.

Geraldine in the meanwhile wandered between the trees for a while. The sounds of the sea were long behind her when she noticed something peculiar; a thin wisp of smoke rising from between the trees, further away from the beach. Campfire? Burning hut?

[Ochita]

"Iiiinteresting.."

Investigate!

[Haspen]

Geraldine thusly followed the wisp of smoke between the trees.

When she finally walked into the glade, the sky was red, the leaves were golden, and the middle of the tree was occupied by a tree that was burning with white-blue flame coming from a human figure, made of the flame, standing in front of it.

Geraldine also felt not wind, saw no clouds moving, and heard no birds chirping, as if everything stopped.

'It' was staring at Geraldine, but otherwise the fiery humanoid was just standing under the tree, providing the flame that engulfed the tree without burning it.

Geraldine is the only character active now.

[Ochita]

Geraldine gulped, whatever this was, it was something magical, right? She wasn't quite sure what to do.. "Aahh, uh.. Hello?"

Wave?

[Haspen]

The fireman stared at Geraldine further.

Then came a whisper, so quiet it was unintelligible to Geraldine, just as the fiery man pointed with his hand to 'his' right for a brief moment.

[Ochita]

Geraldine gulped, and took a couple of steps closer. "W-What?"

Get closer, look at where he's pointing if I can keep him in view
