Oili clears up the rain with a quick heat wave.

Entire area of the shrine began to experience drought and hotness, causing those wearing furs to sweat a little.

The black liquid began to emit thin wisp of smoke, but it did not catch on flame.

[Solymr]

Hmm... Geraldine said she saw a man of fire, it's possible this shrine was made to revere fire. Can anyone set a small fire?

In any case, Lugus pulled out the piece of wood he got from the trunk, and tried dipping it in the black liquid.

[Haspen]

The liquid didn't stick to the piece of wood at all.

[Xanmyral]

Cynbel aided with cleaning up the shrine, leaving it to the others to deal with the fire.

[Solymr]

Lugus kept the piece of wood in his hand and turned to the group.

Oili, try setting the liquid in this bowl on fire.

Oili shrugs and tries casting heat stroke on the black liquid.

[Ochita]

Geraldine spat on the rock-thrower's body, kicking it once. "Enjoy death, 'earth-pest'"

Clean up the shrine

[Haspen]

The black liquid caught on fire, the flame being low and red-orange as expected...

...before the bowl erupted in a pillar of white, searing-hot fire! The flame was so hot that Lugus and others had not choice to step away from the immediate vicinity of the shrine, lest they be scorched.

The pillar of fire then slowly took form of a man of flame, from waist up, with clearly defined head and arms and torso. 'It' stared at the Walkers, before turning its attention to the bodies of Fomorians which already began to catch fire from the blue motes of fire.

Then the fiery man lunged at the bodies, engulfing them with his own fire, and the smell of burned meat could be smelled for a while. Then the humanoid moved away from the corpses, or rather what was left of them - two piles of ash and just a bunch of blackened bits of bones amongst the remains.

_{"Shrine restored..."} 'It' spoke clearly, for once. _{'I am now free to return... You... were the first...'} Suddenly, Geraldine was smacked on her face with the blue flame! But instead of being greviously scorched, the flame was merely warm, and once it was gone, all could see that Geraldine had a small black rune on her left cheek, of unknown design and language.

The spirit of fire then extended his fiery fingers to the foreheads of all Walkers, and they had sudden better understanding of the universe as such. Then, just as suddenly as the shrine exploded into the flames, the blue flame receded all the way to the bowl and then dissipated. The wooden bowl was still intact, albeit the black liquid was gone.

All Walkers receive +1 Skill point from this experience.

Lugus backed up covering his eyes from the brightness until the fire man appeared. He didn't say anything though, interrupting a spirit was almost always a bad idea. After the spirit finished, he turned to Geraldine.

Congratulations, you have been blessed by an unknown spirit. All of us have, I believe.

Lugus then pocketed the piece of wood as a memento of the experience and started the walk back.

Oili silently grabs her head with a confused expression as she follows Lugus.

Cynbel bowed before the shrine momentarily in gratitude before moving with the others, happy to have helped a spirit. The large man gave Geraldine a gentle pat on the back, mindful of her wounds. "Rejoice, spirit-blessed." He then moved ahead swiftly, still feeling the power of the spirits flowing through him with their invigorating power.

[Ochita]

Geraldine raised a hand to brush against her left cheek, brushing against her new rune- still slightly warmer than the rest of her cheek. "A spirit's blessing.." She muttered to herself, after Cynbel patted her on the back. Taking a moment to pause, giving a silent thanks to the shrine and spirit, she also left, hobbling slightly and using her spear as a cane.

Quickly they had returned to the glade - which still had the stump as before - and then they have managed to return to the beach as well.

The longboat crew was worriedly looking at the sky, some were sitting at the oars, and the captain was pacing about.

"There you are!" He shouted. "I asked you not to wander far! But you had to leave for almost whole morning."

"Calm yourself. We merely slew some Fomorians."
