Ready, get back in shuttle.

Ok, I've got enzymes to memorize so lets get this done and stop fucking about.

If you had something this turn like "Return to shuttle" or "Grab my stuff and be ready to leave" it auto completes. No rolls, just done. If you had some other action, and it is OF VITAL IMPORTANCE(!) then pm me and we'll do it like that. Otherwise post pone them/cancel them. Priority goes to us not standing around drowning on our own insipid saliva.

So we're heading over to the next island. This one is a bit different. It's more well to do, sort of a middle class deal thanks to a fairly good trade system they have going. And they have a pretty big plantation of Hibus Bananas, which gets them a pretty penny. These guys are gonna be harder to dislodge because unlike the slums, these people actually have an established life and income and home and other such things that people are annoyingly clingy to. The island itself is an old volcanic island; something like Hawaii or the Japanese islands. Here, let me create a map

Now I'll leave it to you how you wanna handle this, but I can tell you that there ain't any major roads that lead into the jungle or to the volcano. There's one running through the plantation and around to the fishing village but isn't very direct. The volcano is quite high  and has a good vantage point but there's also no good way up for your average civie. And if you just bomb them then the populace is probably gonna run for the jungle and hide or maybe try to steal a boat at the port and make for open ocean. If you're gonna just kidnap them, I'd recommend waiting till nightfall and staging a raid. Get them at 3am and you'll have a good head start on mass reactions since the majority of people will be asleep, even if there is a lot of screaming happening a few blocks away.

Have the shuttle land in the volcano crater. Then transfer leadership to Lyra until I return.

Prepare to shoot anyone that looks like they're about to shoot anyone that looks like they're about to shoot a civvy.
Also, do a SPACE GOOGLE search for nearby pizza places, surely we will have more luck now that we're operating in an area that isn't TOTALLY SHIT AS FAR AS THE EYE CAN SEE.

The shuttle lands in the volcanic crater.  It's an expanse of black gravel and larger stones, with well defined, steep walls all around it. It must have gone extinct not to long ago, geologically speaking. The floor of the crater slopes slightly in the direction of the town, and that half of the crater is filled with water, forming small lake. There are tough grasses and scattered green shoots and plants poking up through the rocks, but the area is still mostly barren.

This place actually does have at least 3 pizza places, but again, its not listed on space google's maps. The space google space cars haven't space driven out this far it seems. However, you could search the net for info about this planet and this settlement specifically. That might be more useful since these people might have their own internet running and make pages about themselves.

Since there's not really a whole lot for me to do at this point, let's just peruse the local internet in search of pizza places.
Preferably without catching any SPACE MALWARE.

If I have time left over after that, design and print out some 'How To Save The Lives of Yourself and Your Family In the Event of the Total Destruction of the Universe' pamphlets using the paper I'm pretty sure was lying around in my inventory. Come up with some snazzy illustrations to help illustrate just how screwed everyone is.

Edit: Also, name the gunnerbot Nancy. Imagine her as a bitter, chain-smoking hardboiled type who gives a scathingly sarcastic commentary on the world around her, thus providing a good counterpoint to the current due of myself and Whig, both for the most part rather pleasant, happy-go-lucky individuals.

"umm, h-hi, this is hurricane-4.  my team is about to raid the mansion on the island, and i wanted to ask if a stealth specialist would be available to assist.  in order to slow the chaos resulting from this raid, i wanted to ask if someone could surreptitiously sever the power lines leading to the mansion, and possibly assist in detaining runners."

"the, uh, idea is that panicked civilians near the mansion will attempt to communicate with other portions of the island once we begin raiding, but by shutting down communications in the plantation area (by shutting down power) we can at least slightly delay the onset of total chaos.  so umm... is there anybody like that here that would be willing to help us?"

((I don't, thanks))

Changing teams to Hurricane for their mansion raid, there should be a hurricane action to pick me up from the volcano crater. team leadership transfered back to Konrad (Corsair) since he should be getting back from his camping trip in the next 2 days anyway.

Accept leadership. Scout the island from the volcano rim and note the positions of the boats for future precision bombardment with small munitions to disable them. Perform necessary calculations to maximise "don't go on boats/in the water" factor and minimize "AHHHHH EVERYTHING IS ON FIRE AND MY LEGS ARE OVER THERE NOW" factor.

You find that there is indeed a pizza place down in town. Plus a few back up places that might have pizza, in the event that something unfortunate happens to the main one.

Contingencies are important when ARM is in town.

You forcibly extend your personification delusions to encompass the gunner bot.

There are several large ships at the port, plus some hundred or more smaller boats. The larger ships would be easy, but you're gonna have to carpet bomb the marina area to get all those individual ships.

those are acceptable losses, model with wrist-pad where napalm/whatever-burny-stuff-we-can-throw would be best placed to maximise destruction of jungle without threatening property immediately ideally placement such that they would burn into one another thus causing them to stop through having run out of jungle. Once complete pile everyone into the shuttle and fly over to blizzard team re-placing portal in a defensible area; plaza or something similar most likely. Message Steve on the way over.

Move to the crater rim so that I can provide artillery support when this inevitably goes pants.

So napalm in places that burns the forest but doesn't burn property IMMEDIATELY, as in, it can burn it in a bit, but not right away? Alright.

I'm gonna assume you fly the ship over and place the portal atop a parking structure near where they're currently attempting to evacuate. Gives you a good elevated position to watch the streets and means you're not miles away from where you need to be.

Move to the crater rim so that I can provide artillery support when this inevitably goes pants.
You go sit on the crater rim and wait for things to go poorly. You set your watch for a 15 minute alarm and wager with yourself whether or not it will happen before then.

7/3 that it does.
