(PS i edited my action a while ago just in case you didn't notice.)

I was giving a suggestion for the enemies, because no one was dying. I didn't actually intend to play as Red. In fact:

Suddenly, Red explodes as Father (my earlier character) teleports aboard the ship and accidentally comes out inside of him. He then accidentally sends Red's ashes out through the airlock. After that, Father immediately begins building a library (anywhere convenient), and hides his phylactery in it. He also begins summoning shades with the order of "Do what I command you to do (to the intent if it and the literal wording conflict)." until there's around 50 aboard the ship. He orders them not to harm the crew, and to start improving the Necrovoyager.

There are no spellcasters aboard this ship, so I'm going to try to remedy that.

((So far, Nik'nak doesn't know Jones is gone. I'm trying to think up a nice long and possibly depressing monolog/eulogy for the occasion.

On the other hand, Jones could possibly return! We are going by entire centuries, and I'd like to think that he could be retrieved and teleported back.))

Athath, I guess I'll allow that but there isn't enough wood to build a library.

full update in five hours.

Would it be acceptable to build a Hall to nowhere and Build a vent in the space then enclosed?
Spoiler: By that I mean... (click to show/hide)

Sorry about the delay. You can build corridors to nowhere, but not vents that move through rooms. In short, rooms can't pass through other rooms. If someone can give me a compelling argument why they should or why vents should have an exception, go ahead. What you could do (maybe not now if you can't afford to) is spend 1 metal and punch a new small door anywhere on the outside of the ship (corridor C perhaps) and then vent over to the new small doorway.

Hyper-Ventilation: (Small beings only) Once per travel phase you can build a vent from one unused small door to any other unused small door on the ship as if it were a single segment (i.e. one metal over two centuries).
Assumed by me to mean that both areas are counted as a single place, otherwise it is a useless thing to get.

Build a botany room, then, and start growing some trees.

Sorry, the benefit is that it only costs you one metal for however long the vent is, rather than having to pay one metal per segment. So you can build really long vents for very little cost.

Build a botany room, then, and start growing some trees.
If you're not sure what rooms can be built, there is a full list with costs which you can read here, or you check the manual linked to in the OP for a nicer formatted table of the same.
