(I suppose: I'm not going to go through ship creation again but you can be a shade if you like: just generate a new character.)

Name: Father
Type: Lich
Power Level: 1
Unarmed Attack: 1 physical
Health: 2
Size: Medium
Immune: Necrotic
Weakness: Holy
Phylactery: Urn
Spells: Create Shade (Double Mental Damage)
Power Source: Greed

Why do we take so long to do anything? Are we just really terrible builders/trap-layers/spell researchers/etc.?

Also, I've noticed two exploits that stem from the Vampire section.

First, their Turn ability just specifies "mortals", not "living creatures". As long as something has a non-infinite lifespan (a golem that will eventually run out of charge, for example), they can turn it into a vampire.

Second, Aversions lack the "you can't avoid this damage by any means" clause, which means that a vampire with Toughness can ignore their aversions by just tanking the damage. Even if the Vampire is exposed to two Aversions at once, he can still chose to take no damage from them because they deal damage separately.

Both of me will Engrave Rooms in this order: the Hoard, the Mausoleum, and the Engine.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I'll add you to the waitlist.

Why do we take so long to do anything? Are we just really terrible builders/trap-layers/spell researchers/etc.?
The in-universe explanation is that magic is just really difficult, intricate and involved, and most of the building and trap-laying etc. requires a lot of magic. Also, they're really dedicated to beautiful craftsmanship. It's also that the undead tend towards monomania, and so they tend to focus on one project (even if it's just a spike trap) for at least a human lifetime.

First, their Turn ability just specifies "mortals", not "living creatures". As long as something has a non-infinite lifespan (a golem that will eventually run out of charge, for example), they can turn it into a vampire.
Practically, there aren't many creatures that fall in that golem category that you'll encounter, but I'll change the wording.

Second, Aversions lack the "you can't avoid this damage by any means" clause, which means that a vampire with Toughness can ignore their aversions by just tanking the damage. Even if the Vampire is exposed to two Aversions at once, he can still chose to take no damage from them because they deal damage separately.
Good spot. I'll add that clarification in.

Both of me will Engrave the Hoard.
That'll take 2 centuries (3 centuries, divided by 2, rounded up). You've got 4 centuries left to kill.

(Thank you so much. If I had known you were generating the ship I would have made it more clear that I was gonna switch.)

Shortly after take off, Franky Grey, one of the vampires, comes over more grey than usual. Suddenly he dissipates: a monstrous vision all along, and a shade appears from within. The shade calls itself Francis and is determined to get to the planet by whatever means necessary. Wheels within wheels, the undead scheme and trick their way through eternity.

Declare the Engine Room to be the inner sanctum. Go sulk there and annoy any who attempt to pass, except Jones Mcbones or Rex Lutum Sanguine

The Dracolich wakes, and begins to make a trap in the Horde Room. However, it still feels tired, and rests again

Francis does nothing. He waits, a bit of living shadow, until something interesting happens.

Remilia wakes up from her slumber and looks around the mausoleum for a few moments, she then somewhat groggily starts working on a net trap in the same room.
