NOTE: One should embark with brimstone, plaster powder bags, lye, sand bags, flux stones, orthoclase, selenite, chalk, limestone, marble, fire clay, kaolinite.
NOTE: flour and bread can be made from corn, cave wheat, longlang grass, whip vine, stone root, rye, soft wheat, hard wheat.
NOTE: one cow leather haul is 5 kg. one suede is 2 kg.
- unravel worn clothes into corresponding thread!
- [REACTION_CLASS:UNRAVEL_THREAD] added to silk, yarn, plant thread materials. Done this way, so leather clothes can't be unraveled into thread.
- gold veins are rarer now. And one ore boulder has a 68% chance of giving gold bars. (we were swimming in gold crafts.)
- platinum and tetrahedrite slightly more common.
- cobaltite ore yields small amounts of nickel and copper. (2% chance per smelt)
- "transmute" word removed from alchemy workshop's transmute reactions, was too long for the GUI.
- kimono and wakizashi sword and naginata polearm renamed. They're orcs, not samurai.
- looked at all alcohol prices. val 2 on lousy, val 2 dwarven bad ale pigtail, val 4 normal, val 5 mead, val 6-8 on best.
- apple, cherry, grape value up.
- milk value up.
- cotton and hemp seeds no longer edible. Press into oil instead of meals.
- serrated disc trapcomp nerfed.
- aluminum is more common; more chance to get your mithril on.
- lowered prices of meteoric, red steel, black steel. 14k to 38k meteoric gear was too pricy, beyond legendary items.
- dwarves: reduced strength of everyone, because single punches should not kill. Obsidian clan keeps their mystical strength. Posh clan still weaker than other clans.
- Silver and brass helper weapons and trapcomps added. Mace, war hammer, crude lesser spear. Totally deadlier than their furniture-wood counterparts. Gold, lead, tin huge bludgeons for blunt traps.
- reaction: sew suede toys. Get rid of unwanted suede this way.
- reaction: craft barkstrips toys. also makes barkstrip shoes.
- reaction: suede clothes and gear. waterskin! Suede shoes. suede gloves, ITEM_ARMOR_SHIRT ITEM_ARMOR_VEST ITEM_ARMOR_HOOD ITEM_HELM_CAP ITEM_PANTS_PANTS quiver skirt.
- reaction: use [REACTION_CLASS:ARMORTYPE_LEATHER] chest armor and boots and helm so don't get crap suede/bark ones.
- new reaction class for good-for-armor leathers: [REACTION_CLASS:ARMORTYPE_LEATHER] so could command it in reactions.
- deephide renamed to metalhide. It's iron-tough and on dragons and high demons. Very rare.
- new stone class: [REACTION_CLASS:NEOLITHIC_COARSE_GRIND]. Not used yet.
- new stone class: [REACTION_CLASS:CARVE_SMOOTH] : argillite, serpentine, steatite-soapstone(not in OldGenesis), alabaster, limestone, phyllite, marlstone, dolomite, jet, diabase,
3 marbles, black marble, sandstone, mudstone, siltstone, fragile chalk, more...
- andesite and petrified wood are now workable like flint and chert.
- new toy: doll, want from suede/fur.
- new toy: animal mask, want from suede/fur/leather.
- new toy: golem mask, want from rock/clay.
- petrified wood mineral, tile changed in Ironhand.
Creatures and civs:
- many caverns-1 creatures made more common. "large rat" for example.
- demon civ back to hostile, tried. Lessen demon civ cowardice. (first demon siege in very long time.)
- serpentfolk now use groblin ethics.
- demon and sylvan breeding nerfed.
- dwarf castes: a bit more metalsmith/blacksmith. (obsidian/steel/stone caste). Also more moss and shroom clan.
- Steel caste learning speed boost of a few combat skills.
- blood spatter stress to dwarves, increased by a small amount. Because it's nice to have many dorfs justice-chained.
- moose, deer, other large herbivore beasts: cannot climb trees.
- cave tortoises appear more often, and in larger groups.
- owls are more common.
- way less peregrine falcons, which are crap hunting for us.
- roc megabeast boosted. (fell over and lost an artery on first leg hit.) Its attacks sped up from 3:3 to 1:1.
- dingoes tweaked.
- balor made a tiny bit easier. (the FIRE and creature materials are quite enough)
- blood elementals dodge way more now. (dies of one punch due to liquid material)
- blind cave ogres toughened.
- deer to suede thinleather. (IRL leather armor is from cow shoulder leather)
- gelatinous cube is larger and more common. (350kg one died of one punch)
- more giant hamsters (200 kg).
- monkeys looked at.
- giant bats moved to depth 2, so deadly.
- cave croc nerfed some, rare giant cave croc added to deeper caves.
