((To the Goblins))

I don't suppose your friendly?
The goblins don't respond, or even seem to hear you. They just keep on working.

Goblins, great. Cut the meat from their bones. Bleed em dry
You run up to the machine, leaping to grab a goblin, and slamming him into the ground. His skull shatters into hundreds of pieces, but the other ones couldn't care less. You cut the meat off of him.

+ 1 Goblin Meat

Goblins, great. Cut the meat from their bones. Bleed em dry
((If they were friendly before, now they aren't))

Skeliborn:

Action:

1. try to diplomatize the Goblin. ((Because having monster minions is awesome))

2. Failing that, try to intimidate the Goblin.

3. Last resort, chop off its head.

You attempt to talk to the goblins, but they don't respond, and then you kill one. Nothing else happens.

Bind the demon to my staff. Then go follow my party.
You fail miserably, and he flies off into the distance, cackling maniacally. Hopefully this doesn't come back to bite you in the as... Let's continue. You join the party at the goblin spire.

I watch and wait with interest.
You sense that these goblin's are more than they appear... ((PM'd))

This is the perfect opportunity.

Slow down the rate of leakages in the machine, in efforts to help diplomacy. Otherwise, speed them up.
You slow down the leakages, and the goblins don't even notice. When you speed them up, however, they rush towards them and hammer them closed.

If goblins act hostile I shoot them, but for god sakes I don't shoot the machine!
The goblins do nothing, so you don't do anything.

The goblins are still hammering away at their giant machine.

"Hey hold it, article 12a of the official treatise on inter-species relations officially forbids cannibalism, defined as the consumption of meats belonging to sapient and semi-sapient creatures, including kobolds and smaller goblins. If they can fix machines, they can feel pain." her voice grew mellower as she got to the end, as if she had recited this a thousand times before.

See if I can freeze one of the goblins in time to check my thesis statement. If it's sapient, it should be able to naturally dispel the magic just by the act of higher thinking.

I wonder what would happen if we tried to destroy the machine?

*That is very likely a bad idea. Do you wish to die? Rather, I have a better idea. Psychological experiments!*

Terros uses his powers over probability to give one of the goblins a strange mood, as it has been called by the dwarves.

I dont think you should fool with that thing Skeliborn!

Try to guess the machines purpose by looking around for clues. BUT DO NOT F_N TOUCH IT! (is it hooked up to anything, text or instructions somewhere?)

You freeze one in stasis, and it stays frozen. It doesn't seem to be able to think independently.

*That is very likely a bad idea. Do you wish to die? Rather, I have a better idea. Psychological experiments!*

Terros uses his powers over probability to give one of the goblins a strange mood, as it has been called by the dwarves.
This does nothing, as the goblin just continues to work.

squeeze the blood out of the meat
You squeeze the blood out of the meat, partially using your blood magic. You put it into a nearby cup.

+ 1 Cup of Goblin Blood
+ 1 Dried Goblin Meat
- 1 Goblin Meat

Skeliborn

Action: Massacre the Goblins and loot the dead bodies created by this process.

You attempt to massacre the goblins, but the first step you take, you are tripped up and held down by Terros.

Other action: Trip Skeliborn before he does that.
You succeed, and hold him down so he doesn't try to do it again.

I dont think you should fool with that thing Skeliborn!

You look around the machine, and you can see that it extends all the way from the top of the mountain to the center of the earth. It seems to be a tower of gears, all churning and stopping at different times. It's purpose is still unknown, yet you know that it leaks a lot, and that the liquid is semi-gelatinous.

"I have a hunch," Ithaca tapped her chin. "What if the machine is controlling them?"

Create a big magic circle on the ground around the machine so I can get a bonus to freezing it next turn. ((Eh?))

*Heh. Nearly exactly what I was thinking.*

Terros makes Ithaca more likely to succeed using probability magic.

In that case, this is the perfect chance to get Goblin loot.

Skeliborn

Action:

Summon a row of blades  facing the Goblins to act as something to slow/mow them down if they become hostile.

Should we just stop that machine without understanding it's function? Doesn't seem like a good idea, maybe it will explode or destroy this place while we're still in here!

Try to find cover just in case, rely on my Sixth Sense ability to keep me out of harms way.

Drink the blood, see if anyone else wants a drink. If one of them does, tell them to get their own blood!
