"Hold on," says Ithaca, rubbing her forehead after walking into a stalagmite. "Let me get my notes."
Without actually getting out any pieces of paper, she starts making obscure spirographical signs in the air with her hand.
Freeze the nearby area in time to stop any traps from tripping. Don't freeze the physical doors themselves, so that they can still be opened.
You attempt to freeze the nearby area in time, aside from your teammates for obvious reasons, and... despite your best efforts, you just don't seem to be able to freeze the doors. Maybe the runes have some kind of warding runes etched on to them? Who knows? None of you know how to read them.
I think I can shed some light on the situation.
Summon a blade that emits light.
You summon a blade that shines quite brightly, and it helps quite a bit. You no longer have a penalty to your to-hit chance,as you can see fine.
*Alternatively...*
Bind some demonic rats to this plane. Let them deal with the "traps?".
You attempt to bind some demonic rats to the material plane, although it doesn't seem like the greatest idea. Despite pure logic, the demonic rat summon is a success, and they follow your orders completely. They crawl all over the doors, and all of them burst into flames. Seems there's some kind of ward.
I back away from the door and the teammates casting all kinds of things at it, getting some distance so if they get caught up in a trap of some kind, I'm not going to be stuck in it too.
You step away, which is probably a good idea, as a moment later you see a bunch of demonic rats burning into flames whilst crawling on the doors.
Whispers "Hey guys, can anyone one of you shead some light on the situation if ye know what I mean?"
Load some powder and shot into me pistol. Cover the doors and stand clear, well to the back.
You get everyone to stand back, and shoot one of the doors. As one would expect, bad things proceed to happen. When the door is shot, it violently erupts into flames, so you have to take another few steps back. It doesn't cease being on fire, and doesn't burn down, either.
Well, now one of the doors is covered in ceaseless flames, and the other is just there. This really is a conundrum. If only there was some other way....
