Well I'd imagine the party would feel invigorated or refreshed or happier maybe giving them statboosts or extra actions or some such like a dancer from fire emblem for example.

Rejected. You're asking for your "I just happen to sing" singing to be more directly and immediately effective than the magic of actual wizards, who would have to spend an evening chanting or similar to generate that kind of effect.

I could make it so they cost the same amount of time.

I think it'd be fine as long as it was just a morale boost. No stat boosts, no extra actions, just plain morale. But... that's probably not a thing except for the case of NPC's. But you'd have to be pretty well acquaintanced for singing to be reassuring.

Also it could make easy money from inns or stuff.
That is kinda what i was thinking it could also calm some animals?

Wow. I know the fight was longer than it was dangerous, but still.

As you might have surmised, I'd like to get on the waitlist and am not terribly convinced I'll be waiting all that long.

Unless I missed it, I still need an alternate skill from you that isn't enchanting.
Indeed. I was waffling between some combination of divination, blacksmithing, and carpentry, but I believe recent events have cemented my desire to hide behind sturdy constructions at any cost.

This seems like a lot of effort just to be able to say you're really good at singing. Wouldn't it be easier to just pick a weapon or crafting skill, and then fluff it that she really likes singing and is rather good at it?

I just got a big question that could be important in the end, it is:
Which is harder, casting magic or disspelling magic?
I mean this in the way of "Is it harder to make a fireball, or harder to unmake that same fireball?"
you probably know where this is going...

Let me answer that with an analogy: Adam and Bob are both pushing a rock. Adam is pushing to the right. Bob is pushing to the left.

 A--> O <-- B

Which is harder, pushing to the left or pushing to the right?

Depends on who's stronger...

I would have thought tearing magic back down would be easier...

I would've thought it'd be harder. It's easier to learn how to build something by reading the instructions than by reverse-engineering, after all.

I'm guessing the idea is that magic is less a complex construction and more an exotic form of strength. You're not sabotaging or dismantling a dam, you're bailing water out of a lake somebody else bailed it into.

Depends on who's stronger...

Not necessarily. Net output over time is not exclusively dependent on power.

For example, if I'm strong enough to push the rock against ground friction at a rate of 10 meters per second, and do that for one second, I have pushed the rock 10 meters. If you're only strong enough to push the rock at a rate of 1 meter per second, you're one tenth as strong as I am. But if you push the rock for 10 seconds, you can undo my effort.

A low level wizard can undo the work of great one. It might take even a great wizard substantial effort to undo the work of a weak wizard...if that weak wizard has invested sufficient time into the working.

You're not sabotaging or dismantling a dam, you're bailing water out of a lake somebody else bailed it into.

Sure, that metaphor works. If you have a bucket and use it to bail water into the lake 100 times, even if I have a bucket 50 times as big as yours...I still can't "undo" your work with a single bail.

Ironyowl joins the party

Note some minor changes to your gear. Also, i don't recommend attempting to do any woodwork while still wearing all those rings.

Next update is half written and should be up tonight. I think a few people still haven't submitted turns. If you haven't submitted an action and want to, I recommend getting it into within the next 10 hours or so.

"I'll go dismember the wolf. Best we do that now before it reanimates. I could use some company. Oh and no fires. We don't want to alert the zombies down there. Crazyabe, if you can, see if you can do something about Romans. Won't be good if we all get sick."

Go down to the wolf carcass and dismember/behead it. Declaw one of the paws and take it with me. Take second watch.

The wolf event happened along the road on your way to Laketown. You left it on the road several hours away.
