You pay a load up front for a super loyal powerful semi immortal cheaper to buff pet. Or at least, that's what I got from it.

I don't really understand agent creation
Idols = Max Health
Essence = Current Mana

You pay 2 Idols to create an agent, which you can then modify at half normal mana costs. This allows you to make a much bigger, neater servant than you could otherwise, and unlike normal servants they're physically incapable of going against your wishes. The downside being that while they exist, they drain your MaxHP; and for every 5 Essence you spend on them, they drain another point. Someone with a supercool dragon guarding them or running around doing their bidding would be squishier than someone without a pet dragon, and would run into a point where they physically couldn't enhance their minion anymore without paying through the nose for more Idols, which have to be expensively imported from the Old World.

In other words, they're largely extensions of yourself in mortal form.

I can't help but notice, and far be it for me to tell people what to play as. But we do already have a god of knowledge, it seems that directly overlapping spheres like that might not be the greatest idea so far as diversity of players goes.
